Default Window Resolution Sync and Mouse jumping WoW

I seem to be having a problem that I can't figure out on my own. I Tri box and have 3 windows on 2 monitors. I have 2 different scenarios that cause 2 results that I cannot wrap my head around for some reason.

    Configuration 1

Slave windows are different resolutions from the main .. Everything in this configuration works perfectly except mouse broadcasting. (I know that is to be expected.) So for all senses of the word this works as intended.

Configuration 2 -- and the root of the problems.

If i synchronize the resolutions to make mouse broadcasting perfectly i have to weird problems.

    1. The screens look horrendous I can't read any text. Is there a way to resolve this, and is it possible to run a relsolution different (other than the native panel size) in the main window to potentially reduce the harshness of the shrinking.

    2. When the resolutions are sync'd if I click in the world (ie. not professions windows, bars, etc.) the mouse will jump to the center. Now I've found where lax has said this was an issue in the past on thread posted back in October. But the patch notes mention this may have been fixed. So has this been fixed is it a new issue cropped up again?

All help is appreciated, and yes I know I'm a noob.

    Thanks

Everyone is a noob. It's fine to have questions. Everyone has them. Check out Ualaa, he made an awesome guide that has helped thousands of people. And he has questions about lots of things he probably feels like a noob about.

You don't need to apologize or feel like a noob for having questions! (Anyone who says to use the Search button, RTFM, etc, is probably missing the point)

There is an option in your Repeater Profile that can scale the mouse for the different resolutions. However, when you are using different resolutions, mouse broadcasting will be unreliable at best. The game will just not match up in every window.

    1. When you stretch something into another aspect ratio, it's going to look horrendous. Everything will look short and fat, or tall and skinny. Text will be unreadable. Yes, you can run a different resolution. But if you're not using the same aspect ratio, again mouse broadcasting will not line up.

My recommended solution is to generate a layout that maintains the aspect ratio. It may mean leaving more empty space than desired on the second monitor, due to the aspect ratio mismatch. The Window Layout wizard will present various options to you. The "Preferred edge" option will adjust the ordering and positioning of the regions on the second monitor in most layouts, and you can enable the "Maintain aspect ratio" option. If you pick a style that uses multiple colors for the window borders, then each color may have its own resolution and that won't help your mouse broadcasting issue

    2. When you click in the world, the game is doing mouselook. As part of mouselook, the game centers and hides your cursor. Depending on certain factors, the game will not restore the cursor position when mouselook is finished. To my knowledge, this began with WoW 4.0.

Depending on what you're actually doing when you experience this issue, there are different workarounds -- parts of which have since been built into ISBoxer. If you are experiencing this issue when clicking on a slave window for the purpose of having it switch to the main window, the workaround is to set your Window Layout "When clicking to focus a window, the game should" option to "ignore the click". If you do not have Swapping set to one of the "Always" options (meaning that it's not trying to swap positions at the time you click), you can try enabling the "Focus game windows via mouse without clicking (Focus follows mouse)" option.
