Default Question on end game group

I am back to WoW after several years.. I will be using InnerSpace and ISBoxer. I will never be PVP'ing and I can't play a DK yet. I am a skilled multi boxer with many other games as my experience. I have a few questions for you guys:

    1. For a 5 man PvE team using Innerspace and ISboxer, what 5 Classes and specs will allow me to accomplish the most from levels 80+. I would like to do as many instances as possible by myself. Also, it doesn't have to be 5 totally different classes.. if 4 of one class and one of another rocks then that is fine as well.

    2. What add ons are pretty much "required" for the above party you are suggesting in order to run my team effectively?

    3. I havent picked a server yet. Do any of you guys have a Multi Box friendly or only guild out there looking for five members? As most of you are, I am completely self sufficient and dont need loot or gold. Just an occasional question and such and maybe run some larger instances with you. Feel free to PM me about your guild.

I have read all the Get Started and Wiki pages as well as every thread. Shouldnt be bothering you guys too much past this point and hopefully I can answer some questions and contribute in the near future.

Thanks, and again, not for PVP and no DK's.

I think common PvE build is

    Arcane Mage
    Prot Pally Tank
    Destro Lock
    Holy priest
    Ele shaman

Check out this site for a detailed explanation of what is needed/desired in a team, in case you already have ideas of your own

I'll also just add that it's sad that you don't want to do any PvP...boxing comes into its own when you pit your skill against another team

I agree with Jeremiah's group comp. You could also switch out the ele shaman for a feral druid.

Paladin is the easiest tank to box.
I have been using a fire mage in my highest group but at 75 the mages dps is starting to suck.
    I use a demonology lock.
Holy priests FTW! (disc until 60 [outlands] though)
I dont really like shaman. Their self resurrection after a wipe (long cooldown) is nice though when you're learning a dungeon). I would personally rather have a different class in this spot. My preference for the other DPS class would be cat druid, death knight, hunter, rogue in that order.

Many different mixes can work. If you pick a prot paladin tank and a priest healer you can choose any three dps classes and be fine. Especially if one of the dps can tank (dk, druid) or heal (druid, priest, shaman) in an emergency.

A thing often overlooked when building a team is armor type. Covering cloth, plate, leather & mail is a huge advantage. If your team has the ability to spec melee rather than casting only, that's another + if you want a change. If you run enough dungeons you'll gather enough off spec loot anyways.

The holy priest is a very strong choice with the lightwell, since it can be macro'd.

    Pally tank,
    Boomkin
    Ele Shaman
    Lock
    Priest
    ... would be my choice.
Mage is a strong choice for portals & CC as well. I'd replace priest for mage then:
    bear tank,
    pally healer,
    ele, mage & lock dps.
Everything that is fun in life is either bad for your health, immoral or illegal!

boomkin is a balance speced druid aka Crit chicken.

Something else to think about is what classes are DIFFICULT to box (at least without multi-step macros).
Ret paladins have a lot of random procs to manage
Rogues have to worry about positioning to do maximum damage
Warriors also have a lot of procs to manage (not a problem if its your main)
Bear druids are the worst multi-mob tanks right now
Shaman are terrible low level MAIN healers (in my experience, anyway)
You could box any of these classes. You could even make this a melee group driven from the healer if all you're going to do is quest and do regular instances. But there are easier classes and specs to box with.

Let us know what group comp you choose.

Five of one class or four of a kind +1 will take a beating by the nerf bat harder than a mixed class group.
    Working on the following teams:
    (85) - PVP - Holy Paladin, Holy Priest, Resto Druid
    (85) - Paladin tank, cat druid, fire mage, demon lock, holy priest
    (80) - Dk tank, destro lock, bm hunter, enh shaman, holy priest
    (85 pally/lock) powerleveling 34 toons under 70

Thanks guys.. I definately took everyones opinion into consideration.

A few things came up so I am creating my team today and I decided on:

Arms Warrior (will probably move to Protection at 60ish or when I start taking a beating)
    Discipline Priest
    Balance Druid
    Arcane Mage
    Elemental Shaman

I did take this into account: http://raidcomp.mmo-champion.com/?c=...00000000000000 (seems like I got a lot covered)
    (thx Jeremiah)

I also took into account all Armor types.
    (thx Zenga)

Look, I know everyone will say drop the Warrior for a Paladin, but quite honestly, I have always hated Paladins in every single game I have ever played. I have never played a paladin and never will. I know, stupid, but I just can't do it.

I still haven't decided on a server, I guess noone wants a new member I will pick one based on http://www.warcraftrealms.com/census.php

Anyway, thanks so much for all your input. Was much appreciated and definately valued.
