Default alt + f and also tiem use issue

    reading the guide http://isboxer.com/wiki/WoW:Quick_Start_Guide

An dhave decide this time i will not enable jamba auti follow as i want to learn to control my toons x4 so, sometimes the slaves follow sometimes they do not.

Issue i am having is I have gone and did Alt + F great the toons are following me.... but when i loot a corpse the screen flicks irself around and i think the main i am on is somehow trying to follow one of the slaves as it turns around facing it, and the slave facing the main.

I have tried alt + F again and this does not break the follow, so how do i break follow ?

Only way i sometimes could break it was when i went and did strobing by typing Shift+Alt+F and then again would turn it off, or at least say it is on the screen but the toons still follow me. what am i doing wrong ?

also item use... I followed a guide and created key bindings under item use, I used 1 of my G1 keys which turns it into F1 thats fine, worked well yesterday when i placed an item in the item use bar and clicked my keybind g1 they all equipped the item, however today they do not, only my main toon will, why ? How can i fix this handy feature to work again for me pls ?

I havent tried to run ISBoxer without Jamba. I dont fully understand why you would WANT that. You should check your ISBoxer setup. See who your "leader" is, and if you press ALT+F, does it always go to that toon? i dunno.

I think its safe to state there is something in your profile or keybinds that you have wrong.

If it were me, I would reset EVERYTHING to default, get it working as intended, then go back and re-do keybinds... testing along the way, until I find the item(s) thats screwy. (Assuming of course that ISBoxer profile is correct to begin with)

I am using Jamba i just am not using the auto follow option, stobing with jamba. alot of people dont use it, its annoying as hell trying to pvp and all 4 of ur toons face same way or are moving and cannot cast when you want yout main to be used like a kiter to slaves can cast etc/ Just 1 example.

Right, sorry I misunderstood. I also do not use Auto 3 sec strobing, when PVPing. Ok, well, I had the exact same problem as you are then. I tried to add a toon to an already created profile. I know I goofed something up.

I highly suggest, doing a fresh profile, via the wizard. Sometimes, the wizard doesnt work properly when you havent logged each toon first, then close WoW. Then run Wizard. Select the WoW account, enter your email account name, select your group, then choose the suggested options, but include the one about auto following after combat or whatever it is. (Im at work right now, so I cant see a screen shot of it).

Then save all, and export to Innerspace.

(you can start your windowed instances in any way, but I do it by creating a shortcut from the ISBoxer menu, and then just double click it.

Once everything is up, enter game each toon at a time, and double check the ADDons checkboxes.

Reset all your keybindings to WoW default.

Open Jamba, and reset it all to default too. Double check the initial profile window in jamba so that you see all your toons names, and ENSURE they are spelled correctly. You may also want to ensure that the window swaping is checked, but NOT the window swapping and promote to new leader.

Then set your Jamba follow options as you see fit.

What should happen is... when you SHIFT+CTRL+ALT+ I, you should auto invite all group members.
    ( ) Check
ensure your Keymap repeater is on.
    ( ) Check
Ensure the mouse and full repeater is off.
    ( ) Check

Press ALT+F once, so that your slaves are now following your leader. you can wiggle around to ensure.

Then when your leader targets a mob, he is the only one targeting him. BUT when you begin attacking, the assist me feature takes over and your slaves will target and attack also.

I highly recommend you set up your IWT keystroke after you get this all working properly.

After setting up the hotkey in the game (really, please do that first to avoid confusion), you will need to tell ISBoxer what key combination that is, and set up a hotkey in ISBoxer itself, to perform the broadcast:
    1. In the top pane in ISBoxer, select General under Key Maps
    2. In the bottom left pane, click on Interact with Target
    3. In the bottom right pane, at the top, is a Hotkey option. Click the < to pick a Hotkey. It can be the same key combo you selected in the game, but I personally use Alt+J instead of just J. This allows me to type using the J without having to turn the Key Map off first
    4. Expand Interact with Target in the left pane by clicking the +
    5. Click on Step 1 under Interact with Target (the 1 underneath Steps)
    6. The bottom Action in the right pane is supposed to send the Interact with Target hotkey configured in the game, to all windows. Right click on the bottom action that's there, and select Delete
    7. Right click on Actions and, under Keystroke Actions, select New Keystroke Action
    8. Set Target to Window:All w/ Current (as opposed to All w/o Current, which would never include the current window)
    9. Set Key Combination to the key configured in the game for Interact with Target
After you Export again and ISBoxer reloads the configuration in the game, your new IWT key should work. Target an NPC and press the new hotkey, and your characters should all interact with it.

Apps is right. You either have something messed up in your isboxer profile or youre logging the wrong toon into the wrong wow session (although isboxer finally warns you about this in later versions).

I think the default invite command is Shift + Alt + i (it is for me and i use it every day).

Just redo the profile wizard. That should fix your problem. There is confusion about who the leader is.

Yep. Issue was when I would select in Jamba under follow and would select auto follow after combat, thats when the toons seem to go crazy, so I deselected it as well as, alwasy use master as the strobe target.

if either of them are enabled or both the toons seem to try and follow each other so it seems.

As for item use, I still do not know how to get it ti work again.

also once i am using my alt + f to get my toons to follow, how to I make the slaves stay stationary and stop following my main when required ?

Glad you got a solution. However this ^^ means that you have a leadership problem or conflict somewhere. Either a toon isnt in the right window, or ISBoxer has a particular toon set to leader, where as Jamba is trying to use one, etc. You need to have your focus change with window swap set to "ON". otherwise what will happen, is without window swap, it thinks toon b is leader, and you are on toon a... so when combat finishes, your current window, toon a, will adjust, and do /follow to toon b.

    make sense?

Yes it does and it was set like that previously and still is.

i am referring to in Jamba under Core team, "When focus changes, set the master to the focus" that has alwasy been ticket and is same on all the toons, so when i flick pip windows the next toon I am on is the master.

But if i select under Follow, auto follow after combat which i would like to use again but cannot because thats when the screen flicks itself around and does thatw eird thing where it seems the master at the time is trying too somehow follow one of the other toons, so i dont enable it.

But the other question is still unanswered, when I am using alt + f only...... how do i stop the slaves from following the main "without" switching pip windows too break follow ? is it possible to do so ?

So I want the main I am using at the time too leader the other 3 slaves, now there will be times when i want to use my main as a kiter, like in pvp so i can kite a person or a mov around in range and view of the slaves so they can cast while my main is kiting, BUT I dont want the slaves to move and continue following because then they cannot cast while moving, so i need to somehow sometimes on purpose break the slaves off follow from the main, and preferably not rely on the command to break focus when in combat.

Why do you have "When focus changes, set the master to the focus" set when you are using ISBoxer? I assume that you are using the default ISBoxer FTL settings, which already include a set master, so the setting above will really break things with ISBoxer.

However, if you are not using the default FTL setup and have made your own focus setup then please ignore what I have mentioned above.

I gotcha. Still sounds like a leadership goof up somewhere. Jamba up to date? I dunno.

As for the Anti ALT+F... I personally havent done this. I do know there is a method to it.

If I just theorize, perhaps when you get to your stop location, SHIFT+ALT+M to turn off key maps. Your slaves will just stand there. Granted, they wont fight either.

Dunno, I think im interested in this answer too. I'll go look around.
