Recently I've decided to clean up my IS Boxer set up.
Instead of having "FTL DPS Keys", which are convoluted...
With "2" being two step, with CTM/IWT for some teams.
And being the default for other teams, ie., lots of variations on each mapped key with varying targets for each.
Some mapped keys being four step round-robin for one team.
Etc...
My solution was to create a Keymap for each team, that is theirs alone.
Right click on Keymaps, create a new one, name it after the Character Set.
Copy the FTL DPS mapped keys, and paste them into the new Keymap.
Then edit it, so only keys relevant to the team are part of the Keymap.
Remember to drag the new Keymap onto the Character Set, so they will use it.
And to delete (from the Character Set) the previous Keymap that is not used anymore.
I recently had a bug, which of course was PEBKAC and not a software bug.
I remembered to go into the Activate Keymaps mapped key, and add my new Keymap to the toggle and have it only load/unload for the relevant team.
Almost good.
However, I still had the two default Keymaps ("General" and "FTL DPS Keys") set to load/unload for all teams.
Which of course is not intended behavior for all teams; easy to overlook.
Lax of course helped me out; his support is A+.
Click on your character set, in the top pane.If you have new key maps for different teams, that would conflict with the others (e.g. because they use the same Hotkey), you can add ALL of them to the toggle in the above fashion -- however, you will need to do another step afterward to make sure that only the right ones get loaded for each team. For each Character Set, select it in the top pane, then in the bottom left pane select "Key Maps". This will bring up a Key Maps white/black list. You have the option of white listing only the key maps that CAN (ever) be used for that Character Set (recommended), or black listing the key maps that CANNOT (ever) be used for that Character Set (not recommended because any time you add a new Key Map to the toggle, you would need to go through and black list it on a bunch of Character Sets).
Click on Keymaps, in the bottom left pane.
Click the Whitelist option, in the bottom right pane.
Left click on each Keymap for the relevant team.
In my case the Druids have White Listed: "Control", "General" and "Green".
Green is their Keymap, as I tend to use colors as the name for my character sets.
End result.
More character sets created, but each only applies to specific teams.
Down the road, it will be a lot easier to troubleshoot a given team.
Or to make desired changes.
