Thread: 4DK + Paladin

  1. #1

    Default 4DK + Paladin

The 4DK thing looks like a lotta fun so I'm going to jump on the bandwagon.. however I've already got a level 85 paladin.

Would people suggest I run my lvl 85 paladin with the DK to provided unpartied healing?

I suppose if I tried instances the exp would be abismal, but at least I could do a few decent quests for items.

If you are going to instance I would run the pally as tank and the DKs either as frosty dps for AoE goodness or blood if you muchos death strike healing if they keep dying. Should mow through at level instances quite happily for decent XP/hr I would've thought.

thanks, I'm not overly familiar with DK's, and I probably won't need much healing in BC dungeons - do you expect to I should just use the holy points insta heal on myself from time to time?

I'm just checking that there's no kind of method where the dk heals others.

Use the Seal where the Pally heals with melee hits.
And use your Holy Power to heal yourself periodically (Word of Glory).

That should be about all the healing you would need in any instance that you outgear.
And any BC/WotLK 5-man should be outgeared by an 85 tank.

Sorry for jumping in to this thread.
I also have a DK-team, four DK and a healer (priest). I'm using one as a tank (obviously ) and the other three as dps. I currently use unholy on those hoping the ghouls will provide a bit extra dps at times when I'm not optimal in positioning the DKs.

I've also added the ghoul's abilities in my macros like in this example:

    /assist focus
    /cast icy touch
    /castsequence claw, monstrous bite

However, I've been thinking about replacing the priest with a healer paladin to make it a plate only group. But if I do this, is it better to let the pally be the tank instead?

If you're running the instance at level, stick with a pally healer so you get used to driving from the healer for later on. If your pally is a lvl 85 char then by all means gear him as prot and smash away.
