    Default DK + 4 Rets Post 4.0.6

    All I can say so far is BOOM!

    The damage from the ret paladins is definitely much higher than before, got 75K damage on a geared warlock from 1 TV on each pally.

    Sacred shield basically just gives paladins an extra 25% hp since so few matches will revolve around the second time sacred shield comes up.

    Running with seal of truth is pretty necessary now that it stacks to 5 after only a few sec of being on target.

    Havn't decided on the DK's spec yet, but since the rets are awful targets, everyone was focusing the DK, so I switched him to blood, and he never died first after that.

    Anxious to try more, but got school in the morning. What else have you guys noticed? What spec's/ rotations you rolling with now?
    Been here for 12 months, and just now found how to add a Signature.

    I didn't play them a whole lot yet, but what I did notice is that building holy power is a lot slower now. Slow enough to where I was having a bear of a time in a normal dungeon. On an 85 test dummy without using wings, I was seeing 8.5K dps using seal of insight. I forgot about trying with seal of truth. They definitely feel better, but are still in the RNG circus with Divine Purpose and Art of War. I guess I need to reforge them for lots more mastery now and see how they feel.

    Arena pissed me off more than anything pre 4.0.6 so I was on the PVE side of things with rets. After 4.0.6, their damage went up 10%. It is really nice. No other class/spec is getting a buff this big. In the raid, I am doing competitve dps against DK/Warlock. Only behind Rogue and Hunter.

    Convert this damage to the PVP side, rets should be on par vs other melees. For my team though, the loss of bloodlust hurts me more than anything else. So Arena doesn't look too bright for me. For you guys who have DK + 4 rets, this damage buff is pretty significant. Rotation wise, Divine Purpose is out of control. 15% proc for a 3HP skill. I can't manage it. so I simply mash the TV key whenever I feel like. If you play manual, the rotation feels lackluster. There are dry period /holes in the rotation where you have nothing to use, but to stand there.

    For the DK, one thing I notice that unholy DK is definitely doing LESS BURST post 4.0.6. They were bad in burst in 4.0.3. Now it is even worse. They are the affliction warlock in plate. Burst is just not there at all.

    On the other hand, BLOOD damage went up a lot. My DK tank is doing 9k dps consistently in 5 man heroic. So running arena with a main Blood DK is definitely a good option here.

    What I did was added two new procs to Jamba - one for Divine purpose and one for Zealotry. When I see them proc, I start dumping TVs left and right. While it's not efficient, it's not bad at all. Doing a 5 man heroic, I saw my tank doing 9k dps, with 3 of the paladins over 11k (one at 5k), and that was with them all doing 3k+ HPS.

    I've still yet to step into arenas this week, but I have a feeling it should go a little better.

    Are the dots being clipped on live, like they were on test?

    which dot, from seal of truth ? and what do you mean by clipped, not ticking full duration ?


    I forgot to mention another big/good bug fix. Word of Glory no longer reset melee swing timer. Pretty big change for pvp/ as well as boxing heroic.

    Dot clipping was more directed at the DK/Affliction comment.
    On test, dots weren't doing any damage for their last few ticks.
