For those of you w/o Rift accounts here's the first post:

Has there been any conclusive statement by the Rift dev team regarding how they feel about this?

Personally, I think it's lame and you've got the gameplay of one person netting the benefits of several as they are granted bonus (party) experience without having to actually group with anyone, as well as getting a lot more done faster, including gathering money that goes along with the progress.

Multiboxers are in a lot of games, and I've just dealt with it for the most part, and I will continue to deal with it in Rift, but I was just looking for any kind of dev/CM statement.



-edit for new comers to the thread- I am specifically posting about multiboxing using a third party program to link the actions of multiple instances of the game client to single keystrokes; while multiboxing a healer to follow you around (or bard, whatever) or have waiting somewhere to buff/heal/storage you, is a different thing entirely to me.

So within a few sentences, he goes from 'it's not fair for one person to get the benefits of several people' to 'on the other hand, I don't mind when one person gets the benefits of several people.' I think we can safely file that one in the "idiot" category and move on to the next crybaby.

I guess multiboxing one guy to heal and buff you is OK, but five is crazy. (becasue he can only afford two accounts, maybe?)

If multiples is what makes things more "illegal", I hope he never sees me (with 10) or heaven forbid Sam
