    Default 4.0.6 pally pvp

    Is anyone trying 4 pally on the ptr with the new changes?

    They sound like they got some nice buffs to mulitibox with. Cleanse removeing roots and slows in 1 global and a new defensive cooldown.

    Combine that with HoJ on round robin and kick/redubt(no clue on the spelling its a kick so i always call it a kick) on round robin. You could lock someone down for a while.

    Ret will be cloth killers.
    Expect sub average damage on resi plate.

    They are flying under the patch omg buff radar. Will hear more about them, hunters and fury wars when patch goes live.

    How are ele doing in pvp (non arena) on PTR? Seems that the LvB 10% is not only flat damage, but that the spell coefficient has been increased with 10% as well. Any findings yet?

    huh ? the buff is to PVE damage. Retribution still dead last as melee in PVP. The only thing new was sacred shield absorb a small amount of damage. Lock someONE down was never the problem for melee zerg. You got 4 other guys running free mass CC on you.

    Retribution is like a sub par Rogue in skill rotation. the ramp up time for their burst is quite long, also hard to manage with boxing. If they have a unholy DK like rotation, + the defensive tools, then we are talking PVP.

    The buff im refering to is cleanse removeing magic/roots/snares/fear again not damage.

    that was there since cata release. I had that since day one, and I am not owning arena with it.

    edit : and remove fear?magic ? it only removes snare and root.

    it was a great talent, no doubt. but the damage was just not there for the rets right now. To put it in perspective, 1 frost DK 's can frontal load the damage with 12k dps. Enhance shaman can do the same. I don't have a warrior, but I heard crazi things about warrior's burst. Retribution on the other hand, it simply can't frontal load any damage. If you open wings without inquisition it is a huge loss. And once you open wings, if you don't have zealotry, another huge loss. You need to line up inquisition , zealotry , and avenging wrath to do the same frontal burst as enhance shaman. In order to line those 3 up, you need to be in melee and free from CC for like 10+ seconds.

    and THAT is not happening in pvp. Thus, retribution is weak.

    Ret went from a power house to a weak plate rogue... Their mastery change will help out, but really the current design of ret pallies makes them useful in PVE and a waste of a slot in pvp.
