Every class with permanent pets except for enchanter can order pets to /pet attack

Also, what are you doing for armor and weapons for your toons?

Korruptor, we have similar teams. I'm only going for five though. I have shaman, enchanter, cleric, shadowknight, magician (dark elves all, except for the troll shaman). I also had a necromancer, but swapped him out for the magician.

Since you are playing almost the same team, do you have any good tips (setup, macros, quests, etc.)? Which toon are you driving from? At present I'm driving from my SK, but once I get to level to start pulling, I am thinking of driving from my enchanter, for pulling and CC.
I use http://everquest.allakhazam.com for everything. I don't have an easy answer for separating what is classic EQ as this progression server isn't a pure classic EQ.

My enchanter is my crafter and can make patchwork armor (leather) which my SK and Cleric are wearing. Ruined Wolf pelts make smaller armor for like Dark Elves, Ruined Bear Pelts make large armor for Trolls and Ogres. I kill every wolf I can find for hides, keep them all in your bank, sell them to others if your not going to craft (not a good idea).

Here is a very good guide on tailoring armor:

Patchwork recipes detailed:

Weapons, well I kill every skelly I see with a weapon because it's 100% chance to drop that weapon. I looted a halberd and converted it from a rusty halberd to a tarnished one which raised it's stats. Sharpening weapons is great for raising black smithing.

To find the sharpening stones you will need to check some smithing supply vendors until you find them. They are 3cp for my enchanter. Take the stones and the rusty weapons to a forge and add one stone and one weapon. To open the forge right click it and then click experiment, in that window add the two items and combine. If you fail you get your weapon back and it's still rusty so just keep trying. You will burn through your stones. I kink it took me 25 stones for 7 weapons.

Everyone follows my SK currently and one day I will use my enchanter to calm a room but everyone will still be /following my SK so I don't drag them with the enchanter

SK's can FD pull too which is useful.

Macro's

Follow:
/pause 6,/target Xavier
/pause 1,/follow
/follow
/pet follow

I throw in the extra follow for good measure. The delay is in tenths of a second and is highly recommended with the lag in EQ. If you're not familiar with EQ macro's it can be confusing but the pause, even though it's in front, is executed after the action and spacing is critical. There can be no space between the , and the /

Assist
First enable auto attack on your alts via "/assist on" (at low levels this is a good thing but at the higher levels you won't want your caster's in melee)
Then the macro:

/pause 5,/target Xavier
/pause 5/assist
/pet attack

Nuke

/pause 15,/cast 1 (top most spell slot with a 1.5 sec pause for fizzle time)
/pause 50,/cast 1 (recast if it fizzled)
etc

It's totally permissible to macro a battery of attacks so go for it (more for alts). Start with a /stand, add the pauses and account for the fizzle delay so one click fires a spell with a pause just enough to account for the fizzle time and then another attempt to fire the spell etc, repeat and then have the caster /sit.

I added an enchanter just to keep the mana going faster and too allow for less sitting.

Tips, well, avoid social creatures. I'm not really doing any quests yet, just crafting and grinding. If the mob is yellow I send the mage pets in to soften the mob but and then run in with my SK and /taunt. Use your tank to pull with a bow or spell (not a snare).

I hope this helps!
