A week or to ago there was a patch that changed the way wow shaped data, at least according to the tech support forum. The new way is apparently throwing some isps off into thinking it's the same as torrent data, so it's getting throttled for some % of users.
I've been having high world spikes that drop a toon or two randomly any time day or night since about two weeks ago. They can still talk but not cast, which sucks because if you don't force the client closed you won't notice the dc for the five minutes or so it might take to actually kick them offline (or until you notice a dps not casting or you're not getting any heals on a boss fight!). There's a giant stickied thread where they are collecting tracerts and such, and some smaller more vocally pissed of threads below.
I reactivated City of Heroes for a month to let them sort it out because it was very frustrating.

Only addons I have on are isboxer/jamba and titan panel, I thought maybe using alt f and alt shift f alot might haev freaked it out seems when i press alt a fair bit funnily enough
