Default [help] Camera Issues with SetView

[22:38] <JackBurton> anyone good with Set camera settings? when i make changes to the camera in game and save them they hold great untill i log out of game. when i come back they all go back to default. im looking at the config-cache.wtf but only the 3rd camera's parameters are showen. not all 5 of them like im used to seeing
    [22:40] <JackBurton> i use /script SetView(3);SetView(3)
[22:40] <JackBurton> to recall a certain camera setting
[22:40] <JackBurton> and i use ingame tweaking and hotkey to save that setting

I realy dont wana delete my DATA and WTF files it took me two months to get my UI this far and its still not the way i'd realy like it. I still havnt mastered being able to copy settings across all toons.

camera's have been screwed up with IWT forever and blizzard is too busy destroying 5v5's to have time to mess with it. i gave up trying to tweak them years ago.

They work fine if you edit the config.wtf before launching your games. Any advanced multiboxing software has that feature. Well, I say that....not sure if ISBoxer does. Keyclone and Octopus do, and it works like a champ.

I'd like to just have one macro do this:
    /SET cameraDistanceC "100.000000"
    /script SavetView(3)

The only workaround i can see is to make a mapkey
six or so steps of tap tap tap my zoom out camera
    /script SavetView(3)

    My goals
Setview 1 First Person - Swiming, Flying, Searching, Looting
View 2 Up close - for Acurate Target Ground Point Blank AoEs. Click the center of the screen and you cant go wrong. With farther distances your Targeted AoE may not aim well.
View3 PvP (Planned) - See 30 meters behind you. Great for situational awarenes for those PvP, slave follow, and movement intensive mechanics.
View4 Medium High - Great for Everyday actions
View5 Medium Low Crowd Control - Great for picking out targets for CCing. Low Camera lets you see Enemy Classes past Tidy Plates. (you could of course just click on the Plates too) but its hard to get numbers of mobs when all you see is an ocean of plates.

How do you adjust these parameters in game? I've tried all kinds of varations of the syntax but cant get anything to work.

    /SET cameraPitch "21.999994"
    /run cameraPitch "21.999994"
    /script cameraPitch "21.999994"
    /console run cameraPitch "21.999994"
    /console script cameraPitch "21.999994"
    /console SET cameraPitch "21.999994"

    /script SetCVar("cameraDistanceMax",30)

Is it still possible to hotwire the views you want by splicing your old BCDE varables into the config.wtf? I've tried that to no avail. There are 3 config files (1 root), (1 toon), (1 multipixling virutal config) which one of the config im suppposed to splice into?

    SET cameraDistanceB "50.000000"
    SET cameraPitchB "21.999994"
    SET cameraYawB "0.000000"
    SET cameraDistanceC "50.000000"
    SET cameraPitchC "21.999994"
    SET cameraYawC "0.000000"
    SET cameraDistanceD "50.000000"
    SET cameraPitchD "21.999994"
    SET cameraYawD "0.000000"
    SET cameraDistanceE "50.000000"
    SET cameraPitchE "21.999994"
    SET cameraYawE "0.000000"

Not a helpful post and i'm not trying to hijack your thread, but I remember back maybe even before BC you could edit the config file so your max camera setting (just using the home/end keys) was super far out. I remember using it when honor grinding. It was great in AB when at the blacksmith you could have the camera as high as lumber mill and see the whole map pretty good. It made it easier to have a stroke seeing all the people fighting on the roads. Anyway...

Have they fixed it so you can't zoom out so far anymore?
