    Default Premiere Pro CS5 rendering

Hey guys, thought I'd check here for some help.

I'm recording just a single client in fraps fullscreen 1920x1080 with 100fps cap and that's working fine but when I then import the files into Premiere and try to encode at 1080 I am getting a shrunken video with black borders around the entire frame.

For initial sequence settings the only real option to use appears to be the DVPAL 1080 but that isn't 1920x1080 in the settings. I played around for a bit and thought I had gotten it working correctly but then I ended up with the bordered output when I encoded for YouTube HD so obviously I am still doing something wrong on the input settings.

If anyone could post a screenshot of their sequence settings before importing video I'd be most appreciative.

If you're letting FRAPS 'hook' onto the game and record that one window, you should be locking your framerate at 29.97 or 30
FPS. You'll notice the cap while in game and recording but the final product will be smooth. As for using PP CS5, I've always
used AVCHD 1080p30 and have never had any issues.

    In my CS5 I don't even see a 1080p setting under DV-PAL...

Picking the right sequence is CS5 is annoying and counter-intuitive and I think that's the problem
As you are creating a sequence make sure you pick desktop, it's the very first one.
This is premiere's idea of 'custom'

Fill in your raw vid settings and you should be good
