No mount yet. Only 3 kills on him so far, but now that I can do it weekly, I'll keep trying if I don't cancel my subscriptions.

zappy, could you explain a bit more about 'all the advisors at once' fight?

i cannot seem to get control or a kill on th mage..

The kill order IMO should be the mage followed by the hunter. When I fight the mage solo the first time, i pull him to the front of the room, as fighting in the back, the explosion sends my guys into the places where they get stuck. After killing the weapons, you'll want to drop the mage ASAP. I don't know your group makeup, but the mage will drop fast to ranged attacks, which is why I pop wings and go to town. 2nd should be the hunter as his aoe bombs start to hurt bad.

If you have someone in the party equip and use the staff, you should not eat any fears from the rogue. The warrior, rogue and hunter are all tank and spank. I hate to say this, but if you're having trouble on this phase, you're gonna really hate the next phase. If you happen to live long enough to see the phoenix spawn, you'll have to make sure to kill them asap along with the eggs as they will do massive damage as well if left unattended.

He was solo'd in the beta where death strike gave a lot more healing and Mark of Blood was on the talent tree. I'm not aware of anyone soloing him now including Raegwyn without having Mark of Blood.

That french person solo'd him, I have it bookmarked at home. I do believe it was recent, so not beta. She/He also solo'd Illidan and has a blog in french.

edit: OK Im wrong her/his blog is here http://blog.mionelol.net/ , but Mimiron 25 is pretty impressive!

I tried again last night around 6 or 7 times and couldn't repeat it. Closest I got was 55% and 52% and then wiped.

What I learned last night, after each mind control, you need to reset your paladins auras and seals as he likes to give them crusader aura and mixes up the seals. The resistance aura seems to be the most important one as he dishes a lot of fire damage. The real bitch of this fight is my shaman, when he gets MCd, you lose the staff buff and will start to get stunned and disoriented. I haven't tried to see if I can pvp trinket it. If he can, that may be the trick. It's a total RNG fight, as all it takes is for the shaman (staff wielder) to get MC'd, then your other guys to get stunned while he puts down this aoe spell that'll one shot everybody within range. I'll reattempt with a pvp trinket. I may even try to fraps it if it doesn't kill my framerate too bad.

I watched the video of that Mimiron kill and if you look closely, he's got stacks of Mark of Blood on him, so that was before the patch.

I messed about a bit last night and got to the mc phase a few times. It didn't occur to me that they could knock off the buff, I'll have to macro a rebuff with the staff and make sure a few shammies loot it if that's allowed. Once that buff falls off it all goes to hell. I was trying with tank and four dps too, maybe I should let one heal.

If you're running with 4 shammys, you can try to loot the dagger on 3 and the shield on one. The nasty part is that you need to melee with the daggers in order to remove the MC. I tried it once with my DK and 4 shammys, but with all the stuff going on during the fight, the shammys drop a lot faster than the rets, and facing the target was a huge issue, so I wiped in record times.

When I first attempted it, I was using 2 more friends - another DK and a druid - the druid looted the dagger, and he would remove the MC debuff, however it was the stuns and disorrient effects that knocked the crap out of us which is why I say the staff is #1 in priority. When he switched to the staff, it was cake with 7 people, as if he ever gets MC'd, then I would have at least 3 rets active to help heal and dps, and if he wasn't CC'd, he could free heal and keep the staff buff up.

With that said, If you've never done this fight before, I would suggest bringing an extra friend or two, one that equip the shield and try it out so you can learn the fight and understand the mechanics. Phase 3, while it isn't that bad once you understand it is a complete pain due to your guys getting knocked half way across the room and being out of IWT range.

This fight for a 5 boxer is truely RNG at it's finest. I've had it to where my tank was MC'd within the first few seconds of pulling him and wiped before even getting to 95%, then other times where it seems you can DPS for a solid 20+ seconds before anybody gets MC'd.

Agreed and then into 3rd you screw up his script with too much damage and he bugs and isn't targetable.
