Default Dungeon finder is just too good

I started an alliance team on Cho'gall last December and came back to them a few months ago. Currently at L62, this team has run more dungeons (some just for achievements) at this point than any other team of mine. I just love parking by the repair vendor in SW and porting back and forth, safe and sound.

I have to rate the LFD as the best change ever for the time savings alone. Thinking back and comparing how instances used to be, it is amazing. Remember having to run to the summoning stones? Clearing all the elites just to get to the instance portal? God forbid if you forgot something or your bags were full. How about the hunter that was out of arrows/bullets or the other classes running out of reagents? All that trouble and nothing dropped for your class.

What do you think? Is LFD the most OP thing every added to WOW or is it just "overrated"?

I like it because it is easy. I hate it because it eliminates world pvp.
Remember daily heroic quests? Great spot to go park for some world pvp action.
I also dislike it because people really never have to play with people from their server. You can be a complete fuckwad and still have no problems finding groups with the dungeon finder. As a multi-boxer who really cares I am my own group every once in awhile a shaman gets lippy and I have to put them on ignore, but for a single boxing person I can only imagine the degree of fucktards lurking the LFD system.

You could even park your toons in a Sanctuary like Shattrath, to be immune to PvP if you wanted to avoid it.

The LFD tool is great, except that our compositions need to include a toon who could tank and another who could heal. Still a lot of flexibility in group make up.

LFD tool should let premades queue for dungeons as is ! No role check.

Am I the only one who plays on a PvE server?

And yes, the Dungeon Finder is an amazing tool for everyone, especially Boxers!

I don't like that I can't queue for lower level dungeons, say if you want the achieve for clearing it.

I know! I also don't like that you have to meet a requirement to queue your team. And I am glad someone brought this up. I find some of my teams can queue for BGs with the tool and some not. Not sure why. And I thought you were supposed to be able to queue for wintergrasp with it but never saw that option.

The random BG and dungeon finder tools are actually separate. The dungeon finder tool has role requirements where the BG finder does not. Any team should be able to que for whatever BGs they have access. AFAIK you've never been able to que for WG from the BG tool but you're able to see how much time until the next WG if you're in Northrend. I know there is a WG Battlemaster in Org, but I've never qued from there for it, not sure if all cities have one or not.

The random dungeon finder pretty much killed PvE boxing for me. It's just too good even for solo players.

It could make sense if the random BG finder would also take care about roles one way or another. I quite often end up (solo) vs an alliance team in AB with 4-5 healers and none in our group. Or you end up in an AV tonotice there is no tank at all in the group. However that could be overcome if ppl were able to activate their offspec during a BG, not only during 'preparation'.

I have been parking my L62 (pvp server) team in lower city next to the repair vendor -or- next the JC trainer (repair vendor) inside the inn in Helfire.

I hate it that you need a tank eligible class to use LFD so all my new teams have been trinity setups with 3x same dps. But ease of getting into and out of dungeons without getting ganked by 80's is just priceless. Leveling under the radar and poping up at 80 to world pvp is going to be fun.
