The Darks – Quin-boxing, 2 comps, 1Kb, 1 Mouse + Keyclone

I thought I would take a second and introduce myself to the forum.

I kind of stumbled into dual then quin-boxing. I had been playing WoW for a little over a year when my wife decided to give it a shot – but as you probably guessed, that little experiment failed. WoW / video games are simply not her thing (excluding Rock Band – which she ironically “dual-boxes*” – read drums + sing at same time on Hard), but she gets credit for trying.

Then it happened – not sure how, but I ran across this site. I had never even heard the terms “boxing” or “dual-boxing” before. WoW being my first, initially hesitant try at a MMORPG. After reading the forums and getting an idea of how to get myself setup, I looked around the house and saw I had more than enough hardware to dual-box. I quickly rolled a team on Mag and joined the Zerg, which I occasionally still log into, but found it hard to leave my home server (Aerie Peak – US) where I had a level 70 mage preparing to raid, several alts and bank chars.

After dual-boxing for several months, I decided to take the plunge a couple of weeks ago and get my quin-boxing team setup.

So, I introduce to you, The Darks:

Darkhammer (Pally), Darkhealrr (Priest), Darkreapr (Lock), Darkslasher (Mage), Darkbutchr (Lock)

I am planning to put together a write-up on my simple setup in the future and possibly a blog on my adventures in quin-boxing.

* I know that this really isn’t dual-boxing, but find it kind of funny how it turned out as we got Rock Band right after her failed attempt at WoW.
