Need some IWT help if anyone can...

OK after much resistance I used the ISboxer Wizard and it's fantastic, but I can't get IWT and asisst to play nice.

That is my file if anyone wants to look at it. Basically I know when you call assist you have to choose "current" as the window to make sure it isnt a random assist. IWT the wizard sets all accounts to IWT, which seems silly to me since you want to control a character that heals or tanks and running healers dont work to well. So I changed my window to all but current and the stupid priest still IWT



Anyone know what I am doing wrong? Also I noticed that IWT has an assist function built in so I'm wondering if I should remove all the assist's in my dps key (called 2step in the FTL DPS keys)

also note that I have IWT to one specific group: MeleeDPS. I can't figure out why my priest insists on doing IWT

edit: I fixed the targetting issue by removing the assist call from the Wizard IWT. I still can't make the priest stop IWT.

I fixed it by disabling ISBoxer from sending CTM ON/OFF to all clients. The priest still wants to attack stuff, but at least he doesnt run up to it.

You migt try making a Caster action target group and send IWT to all except Caster.

That is how it's setup now. There is something not right with the isboxer wizard macros and my IWT call. I've checked and rechecked map settings and groups. It works with that little trick I got from Zorba on IRC but frustrates me that I have to trick the system.

We talked some last night on irc but your problem lies in the iwt wizard setup.

To make it do what you want is simply don't use that function, and instead, use an additional step in your dps spam key that does a keystroke action (whatever key you put your iwt keybind to) and have it only target your melee via an action target group. Really is tthe simplest way to do it, vs the more complex setup that the wizard does.

You'll have to change that key to advance on key press or release too, so that it does dps then iwt within that scope

The wizard gets you a CTM, which turns on when you press the key and is disabled when you release the key.
On its own, a two-step will work great.

But when it is called as part of a Do Mapped Key function, it doesn't work so well.
The entire two-step is trying to be done as one step in another mapped key that is calling it.

I would go with this approach:
- enable CTM all the time, at least for melee teams.
- put the melee into their own ATG.
- create a mapped key that sends your IWT Keybind to the Current Window.
- add a step to your existing DPS keys that is Do Mapped Key (the IWT Keybind mapped key) with a Target: All members of the melee ATG.
- modify the DPS Keys to execute a step on press or release.
- create a two-step toggle that enables (step 1) and disables (step 2) your inserted Do Mapped Key action.

In practice we have.
- You push "1" or whatever DPS keys you have added IWT to.
- It does the FTL Assist and sends '1' to all windows.
- On the release of the key, it sends IWT to your melee toons only.
- Because CTM is always on, they move to the target.
- When you don't want IWT auto spam, press your toggle key.

I've added text pop up actions to my toggle key, announcing whether IWT spam is on/off.
