    Default DK PVP Guide!!!!

I just found this on arena junkies and found it HUGELY informative. If you play dk, especially with 4.06 coming and possibly switching to unholy, this will be an amazing read for you imo.

Here's some highlights i didn't know but you really should read this...

In the starting areas of BGs/Arenas, stack 5x Shadow Infusion on your ghoul to be able to transform it right out of the gate. Death Coil costs no runic power during arena preparation.

Although Cloak of Shadows causes Chains of Ice to resist, Outbreak goes through it. So if you don't want the rogue to vanish, immediately use Outbreak soon as he pops Cloak of Shadows.

Dark Command has a chance to proc Unholy Strength.

If anyone has any other tips they use feel free to throw them down.

2nd one is silly since vanish will still get them 3 sec away, regardless of damage.

3rd one doesn't work on players since they are immune to taunts. I still keep Dark Command bound with Outbreak and Death grip.

This guide has many flaws, the most incredible being:
"When a Warrior is Bladestorming one of your team-mates, Death Grip it off them. When in Dalaran, Blade's Edge, and Ring of Valor, you're able to Death Grip the Warrior off a pillar or ledge during the Bladestorm, but you have to watch for a Grounding Totem and Spell Reflect."

I wasn't aware that a blade storming warrior would use a shield to spell reflect, or that you could deathgrip him while he was unstoppable...

The warrior can pop shield reflect , swap 2h then use bladestorm

and oddly enough, you can actually deathgrip him when he spins. He immunes to all CCs. But deathgrip works (without shield reflect of course, with it you will just pull youself to him). I tested it.

edit: can also disarm him when he bladestorms. and the disarm will actually stop him from spinning half way through

Grounding totem will not eat a deahtgrip, nor spell reflect it last time i checked. Unless they have 'changed' that in the past weeks. Reasoning being that dg is considered a physical ability.

that's odd, haven't tested it lately, but i remember grounding always eating DG's, i used to laugh over and over again at dk's when they tried to DG my shaman team.

Also BrothelMeister, I'm pretty sure you can cast taunt on players and the caust goes off but then rebounds as "immune". That doesn't mean your unholy strenght can't proc off it but i haven't tested it. a free spell off the gcd every 6 seconds could easily be macro'd in if it works.

Grounding totems will eat a deathgrip for sure, I see it all the time when I play my shamans and a DK tries to DG me. I also have seen my DG eaten by a grounding plenty of times, but I have 4 DKs so I just cast it again. This is how it's always worked as long as DKs have been around, that I can remember at least. Otherwise arena with 4 shamans would have been a nightmare vs a DK.

If you watch the video on warcraftmovies.com http://warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=173471 swifty spell reflects a deathgrip and it pulls the DK to him. Unless they changed it you have to keep a shield equiped for the duation of the spell reflect otherwise it falls off. So you shouldnt be able to spell reflect while bladestorming. But if they changed it i could be wrong!

Yea, I've been pulled in by a spell reflect countless times, not that it really hinders me. Grounding totem has for the entire duration of cataclysm eaten death grip. It didn't during the time right before cata, but they fixed it, its a shadow spell now, which is why you need 195 (or 200) spell pen.
