Targeting Bug in Raids

I sometimes get this crazy targeting bug in raids. Mostly Tol Barad and AV. I run priest/dk's and quite often, when I mash my dps macro, my priest (main) switches from his target to some random pet mob. Then of course all the dk's try to assist. The mob could be halfway across them map and when i try to dps, i keep targetting that same dang mob. Never have this problem in a regular group. Also, this never seems to happen to the dk's. I can switch screens and use the dk's for assisting and such but then of course I have a useless tag along priest not healing or doing anything.

Anyone seen this bug? It's probably something with an addon but I just can't seem to find it. Really annoying bug.

I have the same problem at the moment, had it a while ago but it went away. Now it's back again. I kill a mob, target another and when spamming my macro the target switches bakc and forth between the 2 mobs or between a char I targetted before. Very annoying

I assume you are both using ISboxer?

If so then something in your dps macro is causing you to assist one of your slaves after you switch targets causing a bit of a loop.

For me in the past it has been that my dps key is calling another mapped key. This mapped key is a standard dps skill key which has an FTL assist step which uses the current window as target. When you apply this mapped key as a step for a new mapped key it asks you for a target to apply it to also. If you make the target of the mapped key in this case one of the toons which isn't your leader, the FTL assist key seems to use that toon as leader and there are multiple assist commands sent. What I have done in this case is set a hotkey for the mapped key I want to call and added a step to the dps key which calls a keyboard key rather than a mapped key.

This seems to sort the problem out for me, but it depends on how your FTL system is set up.

Are you using Isboxer? If not, what program are you using. If you are, I am sure there are people around here who know it a lot better than I and can probably explain it a lot better.

Bottom line is it sounds like there is a problem with your FTL/assisting/targetting system. Alternatively are you using tab as one of your keybinds? :P

EDIT: Actually this probably applies better to Leovindica. Outdrsguy your situation sounds a bit stranger. It sounds like you are sending a target or assist commander with a letter. In a group that is close to you you want get anything but in a raid if you type Target "a" if there are no mobs around you starting with an a, you may pick up such a mob that is in range of another raid member. Alternatively if you are assisting "a" and none of your toons start with the letter a, it would be a bug that only comes up when there is a char whose name starts with the letter a in your group/raid?

Check your target/assist macros I guess.

I'm using ISboxer, I've discussed this with Lax and I thought it was fixed. There was a minor mistake in my '2 step' set-up. Dunno what's wrong now.

Sorry, yeah, I use ISboxer and my problems not quite the same as leovindica's. It's like my main toon picks a pet as a focus or something and keeps trying to dps that focus. I can however set and actual focus still and I still get the bug. I guess i'll try playing around with mods and turn them all off and see if i can still get the bug to occur and go from there.
