Now one part of the blue post did stick out to me:
.It's just not how this game works. I can see how this sort of behaviour would be unfair in other forms of gaming, but not here. Here it is fine for the time being
This is at least the 3rd time I have seen a blue post make a vague hint that it may some day NOT be tolerated. Honestly though, its probably just something they all say to keep the nerdrage low, and give the QQ'ers hope that some day it may go away.
"Twilight is upon me. And soon, night must fall". My days in WoW are over, but I'm back to where it all started, EverQuest!
If there is anything that Blizzard has learned over the past few years, it is to avoid making absolute statements. They were pretty adamant about certain things (PVE-->PVP transfers, for example) that they wound up changing later, and they realized at some point that pretty much anything in the game can change. So they try to add disclaimers more often.
But it just reinforces what I said, that Blizzard is fine with multiboxing and the current objections to it are irrelevant. Stuff like "it is against the TOS" or "it's automation because I said so" or "it's one player with 5x the power and that's cheating" and similar arguments won't work. If Blizzard ever bans it, it will be for some other reason. Personally, I don't see it happening because Blizzard seemed to have covered every possible complaint. If there was some new and valid reason against it, someone would've stumbled onto it already, and that hasn't happened.
"Multibox : !! LOZERS !!" My multiboxing blog
"Multiboxing is allowed. The player must be stinking rich and nerdy as well to do something like that, but it is allowed."
I get this a lot in game. That's a good indication of the fact that a lot of players are just kids. Mum pays for one account, but there is no way she would pay for five. And of course 65 euros a month is a lot of money when you're 12. When you are close to 40 and have a job, it become by far less significant.
yeah, I agree. If you'll notice, even when a blizzard rep is commenting on behalf of he companys direction or belief, they will answer the subject, then give a pause to take it back later. Seems like standard practice.
Well I've always tried to quit wow unsuccessfully but the day they ban multiboxing is the day I quit for good lol.
Once you MB, you can't go back.
