I'm certainly going to try once I have mostly epics on my tank, and my dps are burning things down relatively quickly. With CC, perhaps only 1-2 guys would need to be tanked at any given time.

Currently I only have 3 level 359s items on my tank, so it may be awhile for me...

Cleared the first pack 3-4 times, and just got epic staff. It sells instantly for 20k on my realm.
And yeah, might add that my tanks is practicly full 359 :/

Alltho, I'm running four elemental, with a dedicated healer this might be...well I don't know, a lot easier?

If people are doing it with 5, then us larger scale boxers should have no problems

We have been done this a few times as a guild on off raid nights to gear the team and to refill the gbank repair fund.

Our best run netted us 4 ilevel 359 epics (including my tanking shoulders), most runs netted 0-1. As there were 10 of us we were clearing the trash up to Halfus in about 15mins if no one was fucking around.

Another excellent place to farm for epics is the trash after Magmaw/Omnitron. There are 3 mini bosses + trash which have a chance to drop boes, apparently there also boes that drop which aren't on Wowhead loot tables yet. This trash is a little tricker though, nothing can be cced and one mob group type requires a tank on the main mob and another tank on his untauntable 2 adds.

Wow, talk about luck, I had the epic staff and an epic pair of mail pants drop in the first 15 minutes... I play a pally and 4 shaman, their item levels are around 356. I kill the first pack of 4, the two side packs of 8 and I kill the two patrolling packs if hex holds until I can recast it, but I normally don't bother and reset it.

Edit: I just cleared the first room, and even the two soul blades in the hallway to the next room (had to bloodlust and use elementals). I doubt I could have done it without 4 cc's though, and the hex glyph helped out a lot. On the Soul Blades I spread my guys out and only moved them when a guy had two vortexes under him. The casters need at least 2 interrupts, I ended up using 3 to make it really easy. The rest are just tank and spank, nothing hits that hard and you never have to fight more than one mob at a time, except for the casters, which you only have to fight 4 and the grounding totems absorb their spells making them really easy too.

I've been doing this for cash, and prolly got around 20 epics so far, wich all sold easily. this is insane for gold. However, my paladin being saved in BoT normally each wednesday (this week it was sunday, so I farmed alot before this).

However, I have a DK tank, but he's just taking to much damage from the soul blade guys. Any suggestions?

The problem being ; I have to heal him to often, thus reduing my shamans dps to much (running 4 elemental)

Wow, been farming it for about 3 hours so far today. The tanking shoulders, gun, thrown, staff and the mail legs dropped, it's getting kind of ridiculous. Takes me about 25 minuets to clear to the first boss

Can you please explain to me, how exactly you do it? Just curious, if there is something very obvious I'm missing...struggling doing it with my DK..

For those of you 5 boxing this, how much CC do you find is necessary for success here? I only have 1 hex on my team, so I'm wondering if I would be able to survive tanking the entire pack minus one?

I suppose I can just give it a few tries and see what happens

I've explained how I do it before. I have 4 cc's so I never have to fight more than one mob at a time, except for the groups of casters, which hit for nothing and grounding totems absorbe their spells and the last two twilight soul blades at the end, which I bloodlust and elemental for. Your tank is probably just undergeared. My pally and 4 shams average around 355 item level.
