Albeit this is my first time boxing on a PVP Server, and it was my choice to roll there, i have come to realize that the PVP server of my choosing may not be the best thing for me.
I spent the better part of the last 2 days Bobing and weaving trying to survive in Scarwood Reach/Scarlet Gorge, generally i would have been able to gain 10 levels in this time, however being level 30/31, i am able to take several people at once if i can concentrate on slowing down the attackers, but these last few days has been a rude awakening, that me being a 5 boxer, i am a target of much aggression on my server.
I'll get a random small group of 2 to 3 guys try to kill me, i will repel them but, then ill get like 20+ Guardians, which they will tend to camp me for a bit. I've only been able to get about 10 quests done and i was able to get a half a level.
Is this common with the other boxers on pvp servers, i know i could always go PVP spec to be able to be more defensive and survivable? i think im 1 of a small number of boxers on my pvp server Reclaimer. Is it recommended since i am a carebear in a pvp world, that i just cut my losses, leave my 30s, and go to a pve server where i belong? How do the does everyone else view this situation if you were in my shoes?
My setup is a PVE mix group similar to most PvE WoW setups; Tank, Healer, 3 DPS. There is nothing keeping me on the server 100% that i need to be there. I have a few RL friends on there, and several Internet friends i run with, but they are all pvp gungho, so they are use to it, but they are all 50 now and raiding.
