Default Software to keep addon directories in sync on different machinesd

I've tried using SyncToy to keep Addons and WTF dirs in sync for WoW but I'm finding it just doesn't work very well. Does anyone have a suggestion for how to keep them in sync? I'm trying to just set up 4 accounts on one machine and then copy them over to 2 other machines, but part of the issue is I rotate which account is on which machine based on situation. Sometimes the warrior is on the left hand box then sometimes he's on the main etc...

I like SVN. If you are familiar with source control software you can have it up and running in about 10min. I use it mainly because my buddy is a total computer newb (to the point where downloading and installing an addon for wow requires 30min over the phone.... EACH time). With svn I can modify/update the repository and he can make his addons directory match what I designate it to be.

However, I also use it myself. I play on my main box, then sometimes on my laptop. Occasionally I'll make a change (to addons, macros or whatever) on one of them, and need the change on the other. So I just commit to the repository when I shut the game down (which is when the changes save to your HD), and then update before I start playing on the other device. Also, when I make macros for my 5box. I write them on one box, commit, then update from the others. For me it is simply to do and use, for others it might not be.

I would also maybe check out the lazyboxer util posted here. Or maybe look into robocopy.

SVN wouldn't work well with WTF files. What I was thinking of is something that just monitors the dirs for files that change and then copies them over as they're changed, that way if today the right machine ran the auctioneer scan and tomorrow the left one does it's both saved together as long as it's the same account.

Like I said SyncToy almost does it but has some weird file locking issue that I haven't figured out yet.

I've used this in the past - it can do what you are talking about - it's quite sophisticated and can do two-way, one-way, etc.

    It's called SecondCopy.

You could just use Microsoft's RoboCopy. It some with like resource CD's or something, I use it all the time at work. I think there's even an option to just have it run in memory waiting for a change then sync up. Google it, very good utility.
