Have any of you guys seen/used this monitor stand?

Well I may have just done a stupid thing... I was just casually browsing ebay and came across

this mount:

Think I'm getting a good deal? Or am I going to have an $80 piece of scrapmetal and 4 broken lcd's in a week?

the actual mount to the desktop surface looks questionable. I'd focus my attention on that before putting any monitors on it.

4 lcd monitors probably weigh over 100lbs total. You're going to put that on a 4" peice of metal strapped to a wooden desk?

LOL, get some ergotronics. Worth the money IMO.

I have been using that stand for the past 3 or 4 months. Just how hard do you think it is for a thick steel pipe to hold 100lbs lol. I'm pretty sure it can support upwards of 300+ lbs, although the tilt on the monitor would probably be constantly drooping and you'd have to crank down real hard on the allenheads for the arms.I'd be more worried about the joints not staying tight. Trust me, its a very solid stand, 4 monitors at @30lbs each is not a problem at all.

I have four monitors on it, it holds it very well and solidly mounts on my desk. My desk is glass with metal frame (I'd imagine the worse set-up to mount anything to) and I was worried the base would not mount very well, but it's on there pretty damn solid and is in no danger of coming off. It's a simple design, works very well and is very inexpensive...compared to any other four monitor mount I have seen. Single poll with two arms you can adjust up/down. I have had no problems with the arms moving after I got them the way I wanted and tighten down the screws.

I also have an ergotron that has a very adjustable single arm that holds 1 24" monitor. It droops!!!! Ok, I went a little over the weight it was recommended for, but the cheapo 4 monitor stand I got would have zero problems holding 4 24" monitors without drooping, mainly because the way you adjust height on it is not as fancy as an ergotronic.

Well I was just looking around at work and realized these are the stands we use for our trading terminals... so now I feel pretty confident in the purchase. I had never noticed before because I still have that old school POS Bloomberg dualpanel display.
