I've still been doing my truegold transmutes on my 7 guys each day, but what i have been doing over the last couple of weeks when the price of truegold reached parity with the mat cost is bark in trade to get the dps and tank plate chest made, I pay 1k each for the crafter's chaos orb which people are happy to sell.

Works very well, especially during the week when there is a limited number of epics on the ah.
