Manual key toggle, possible with ISBoxer?
Hey all, i'm using ISBoxer and currently have 2 separate keys DPS spam keys, one dedicated to AOE and one dedicated to single target. Rather then have two separate keys, what i'd really love to have is a single DPS spam key, which I could manually toggle between my AOE and single target mode using a toggle button.
For example, say I had a keymap in ISBoxer that would send G to all wow instances when the G key was pressed which would contain my AOE macros in game, but if I were to press my toggle key of F5 all further G key presses would send H instead which would contain my single target macros. Pressing F5 again would return the G key presses to send G again.
Does this make sense? If this is possible within ISBoxer please do tell!
Thanks

Yes this is possible and relatively common
A Mapped Key State Action will allow you to enable or disable one Mapped Key in a Key Map that's turned on. You can also set a Mapped Key to be off by default in its Advanced options, with the check box at the bottom "Do not load this Mapped Key when the Key Map is loaded".
So you make two mapped keys with the same Hotkey, one set to send G and one to send H. Set the H one to be off by default with that check box. Then make your F5 mapped key, with 2 steps. First Step will have 2 Mapped Key State Actions, one to turn off G and one to turn on H. Second Step will do the reverse.

This is very possible, and surprisingly easy, using keymap virtualization:
First you make a keymap "Single Target DPS" that sends G -> self
then make a keymap "AoE DPS" to send H -> self
You then make a third keymap "DPS Key" which you bind your input key to (which can be G again if you like) and make it do:
Do Mapped Key Action "Single Target DPS" -> All with current
You then make your mode keymap "DPS Mode" and bind key F5
Create two steps:
Step 1
New Mapped Key Virtualization action, do this mapped key instead and point it at "AoE DPS"
Popup text action -> window current "AoE DPS Mode now ON!"
Step 2
New Mapped Key Virtualization action, do this mapped key instead and point it at "Single Target DPS"
Popup text action -> window current "Single Target DPS Mode now ON!"
This will change the mode, by switching keymaps, and pop up a nice on screen message to let you know which mode you are in.
I hope that's clear enough.
EDIT: LOL, went to answer the phone an Lax gets in there first =P (At least we did it in different ways!)
For clarification: I do it this way because I often have 3, or even 4 mode, keys. Virtualization means 1 keymap gets changed rather than turning one keymap on and two or more keymaps off in each mode step.

Just wanted to follow up here and thank you both, I was able to get this functionality working and it's really improved my game! Also, popup notification is excellent, I ended up setting up several toggle able modes for encounter specific config.

just had a thought - for PvP you could have one state that activates DPS, and another state that replaces DPS with /chicken on the same DPS key. In my mind that could be amusing until you forget to toggle back...
