Anyone have any recommendations for a good mouse? Mine just died and I'm looking to get one tomorrow. Thanks

I play a lot of FPS and RTS games and I used to be a huge nay sayer about the "gaming mice". Over priced for not much more ...
Until I got a razer imperator... and now I'm using a razer mamba... its a rather amazing piece of machinery.
Theyre rather expensive... so if youre looking for a good budget mouse, the best one on the market ( IMO ) is the logitech MX518... If you sit around tightly, the price on those drop to about 30-35 bucks.
I'm currently using a Razer Lachesis and I am very happy with it. People seem to like the Razer Naga [or this link for the new
upgraded version] as well with all the mouse buttons you don't really have to use the keyboard except for modifiers. In a few
weeks I will hopefully be giving both the Logitech G700 and the Razer Naga a test run because I would like more buttons on
a mouse [even though the Lachesis has about 11 w/o modifiers].
This new Tron mouse looks cool but I don't see any advantages to using it besides it having cool colors and what not. Also
note, if you read the reviews on the G700 on Newegg there are people talking about slight movements not registering with
the mouse in wireless mode. This issue has been addressed since then and Logitech worked with members on their own
forums to help resolve that issue, the latest drivers on the G700 no longer have this problem.
I've used nothing but Logitech products for years now. I'm currently using the g500, which has more than enough buttons, is easy to configure and you can change the weight for a better feel; i can change the resolution on the fly for more precise shooting in fps games and more control in wow. The g700 came out recently and is wireless. its going for $106 on ncix.com atm, the g500 is $89. the mx518 is certainly a great mouse as well.
My personal feeling of logitech vs razor is this: I have average fingers (not thin piano fingers) therefore i find the logitech mice more suited to my hand shape. the razors are extremely uncomfortable for me, being too thin, the buttons are tiny, etc. Technically speaking they are very similar i'm sure; I just suggest playing with a demo in a store before ordering a mouse online as you don't want to be stuck with something uncomfortable to your hand shape.
I use my logitech G5 and G9 and swear by them, however I also hear great things about all the razer series.
If you want something cheap, the Microsoft sidewinder mice are awesome too.
"Logitech MX revolution" FTW(but you can't buy it anymore
)
Just received a G700. Nice feel, lots of buttons, can't wait to get home to program them.
I like lots of (useable) buttons on my mouse. but the Razor Naga goes beyond my capabilities of precision of my thumb![]()

I don't suffer from Schizophrenia, I enjoy every moment of it !
Still loving my Naga. I've got very few complaints about it, and if I had to do it again, I'd still buy one.

buy a razer naga
get used to it
love it for ever
On a serious note, if you buy the naga its a pain in the first two days but once u get used to it its kinda a must have.
Start binding just two or three skills to it first hand to get used to it, and you will get the flow in notime![]()
I got the naga about 3 months ago. How did I ever live w/o it?
