True, for the $375 Dell charges for the 24" E248WFP right now, you can't beat the *size* for the price. However, saying that this TN panel is of great quality is pushing the truth. I've seen the E248WFP side-by-side with the older 24" 2405WFP Ultrasharp, and the older Ultrasharp looks much better in color representation, contrast, and viewing angle. The response time on the E248WFP may be slightly better, but compared to the newer 2407WFP model, there's NO comparison. Put them side-by-side and you'll see what I'm talking about.Originally Posted by 'Fursphere',index.php?page=Thread&postID=31814#pos t31814
The Ultrasharp models really do look that much better than the E-series. I could live with the E248WFP as an alt-monitor, but I want the main monitor I'm staring at to look better than these. I'd rather have a 20" or 22" Ultrasharp than the 24" E248WFP for a primary display.. dropping down to 1680x1050 is worth the better color representation and viewing angle.
