    Default Cata Guild decisions?

I was wondering how people are handling guilds since the new expansion.
Obviously some of those guild perks would be nice to level out

I've always loved small guilds, and am worried that I'll be driven to larger guilds that can grind out the XP.
ATM I have just created a guild for my 5-team (I'm new on my server).

    What do you guys think?

I feel like I'm in the same boat as you. I just posted something related as well.

I hate thinking too far ahead, but I feel like I'm screwing myself now if I don't join a big guild. I'm more worried that if I join someone else's guild... everyone will quit, drama will happen, etc like every other guild I've been in with complete strangers.

Since I have no irl friends playing, I want to have my own guild, but I don't think I can run a large guild, be a guild leader, etc. Part of the Allure of multi-boxing is marching at my own tune, especially since I work a ton.

Haha, maybe I should found a guild <Everyone Just Be Cool>
The only rules: chill out, no drama, run instances or whatever with guildies when you want, enjoy perks.

    OK, my take on guilds:

Unless the perks and items available as guild-rewards are obtainable some other way, then said perks pretty much require you to be in in a guild.

This leaves the question of how large a viable guild will be:

    1 character guild

For the guilds that people given away to me over the years, I have to decide if the 1 character holding the guild wants any perks, and if so.. probably just dump the 1- or 2-banktab guild.

    5 character guild

So you have your 5-box team in guild. My current impression is that you will be able to level the guild just fine, reaping most of the rewards from guild levels. What you will have to give up or try unusual methods to obtain are the guild rewards that are based on one achievement or another (Stay Classy, Guild Glory of the Cataclysm Raider -- as discussed in the another post here)

50 character guild (5 main and 45 alts)

Same as 5 character guild. Even with more 85s among your alts. Altough, if the cap on guild xp per day goes up at higher guild levels, perhaps having more 85s to contribute would help in this case.

    10 character guild

I'm expecting that a 10-boxing team would be fairly viable.

Any larger collection of main chracters is approaching the 'intended use' of guilds.
Doing my best to get motivated for the WoW Headless Horseman mount hunt of 2013... so far failing. and now in 2018, let's see about those HH mounts! [Edit: Actually got an HH mount in 2018... on separate account 6. One to go! In 2019, my last BNet accout, the main one, got the HH mount. End of an era.]

I multibox because I have no time, have a life, have a job and[/or] money and have little patience for drama and temper tantrums. -- heffner

Might give me a reason to play a team in a multibox friendly guild or a guild specifically for multiboxers.. Like the Zerg

I've got three teams, near 75th level (for tradeskills), in the casual PvE guild I've been associated with for a few years.
However, the guild has fallen apart.
Pretty much they're there, because I haven't bothered to move them.

I also have two teams and my banker in my first alt guild.
And one team (my ferals) in their own guild.

Wouldn't mind guild benefits for both of these.

Then I have eight additional guilds, purely for storage and could care less about guild leveling here.
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

That's what I've done. I started a guild on Stormrage for my alts, while my main joined a raiding guild that most of my friends had joined. That guild fell apart after a while and a few friends are in my guild now. No rules, no obligations, no drama and no fuss.

I pulled my Shamans out of my alt Guild and put htem in the same Guild my main is in. We have 2 other boxers in the Guild as well.

I miss my Guild Bank but now my Shamans are goblins I have empties out their own personal banks and I'm storing all their profession related shit in tehre. That way I always have acces to Encahnting Matts, CLoth etc.

Not quite sure how the guild thing works. I have my dual box teams all in a guild, 8x80 + 2 bank/ah/mailbox toons for a total of 10. It seems I maxed out my guild leveling on the first pair about the time that they hit 81 by "maxing for the week" ??? And only 2/5 bars thru level 1 ???

I tried doing the cooking/fishing dailies on the other toons but that didn't seem to contribute anything but their own personal guild reputation and did not further the guild points any...

BTW, if you haven't read it elsewhere, you do want to login on all your level 80 toons to "start" their rested for exp bonus...
    Kilrogg-US:
    2x80 shammies (robshammya/robshammyb), 80 druid/80 rogue (Anglesey/Whatchadoo), 80 Hunter/80 Shammy(Huntrchic/Crynomoor), 2x81 pallys(Robpallya/Robpallyb)
