WAIT JUST A DAMN MINUTE, are you telling me that Blizzard changed things from the beta servers to the live servers? FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Don't mind me, I'm just adding a whole lot of needed sarcasm for some people [not you] that believe beta servers are set
in stone and that absolutely nothing changes or gets tweaked when servers go live. As for whether the quests dropped
for the entire party in beta, I don't remember what people said and I'm too lazy to search for it at the moment.

AFAIK they did drop for entire party. The only thing they didnt change that I wanted them to was the group xp penalty. Looks like they changed the group loot back to single after beta ended

I'm not going all rainbows and sunshine, but ya some of these were ridiculous... the bunnies and squirrels... or rescuing the baby bears from the trees lol... and it's weird some of them are shared credit and others are individual, not as consistent as WOTLK, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be... the 8 pieces of staff off the ground (x5)... was fast actually.

I used macros as much as possible... when large groups of people were all camping a named mob spawn point. Just spam, /target <named> /cast avenger's shield... worked everytime. Plus I'm on a PvP server and it's just pure chaos, and I have to admit, I really really enjoy it... so ya doing the collection quests is crazy but with all the tomfoolery going on around you, it's pretty fun.

Having played DAoC's Trials of Atlantis expansion, I'll stay far far away from underwater questing zones thanks.

My gripe, and not to instill nerdrage in the WoW fans, is the paying for cut and paste content. Quests are so linear now, very simplistic, the zones (Hyjal at least) seems to funnel you along a path. The first instance I've done a thousand times before when it was called BRD/LBRS/UBRS... though the boss mechanics were a wrinkle and seemed to feel new to me. Instance quest givers are all inside the instance?? And there are portals to pop you back and forth to hand in quests? Might just be the first one... so not sure. To early to judge though. Seems like a focus on larger profit margins with the way this one was developed.

Have to admit, even though there was some chaotic ganking... and a lot of collection quests (4 core hound entrals, and 10 seeds off ground at same time?!) I really enjoyed my first evening of cata... lot of fun.

The follow up to the bunnies & squirrels, was baby deer.
And that quest was shared credit, plus some rather nice legs (or was it boots) for my Kittens.

Plus, while I did not enjoy the bunnies, my Kittens did enjoy rescuing them.
And clawing up the mean warlocks and fire elemental things.

I am OK with the big gather quests because, when I do start them with my team, I'll be spending the time going from quest to quest gathering up materials like herbs and ore nodes. This morning, when I was running through that water zone with my druid, I collected a bunch of stuff just swimming along from quest to quest; there will be even more opportunity with the grindy quests to do this, which will lead to even more materials gathered, which I can then sell for even more outrageous profits (or, at some point, actually use to improve my professions). And green drops, and cloth drops... More kills means more loot to sell!

I think I also am immune to gather quest badness because I have leveled a team to 80 through questing, prior to the new-old world. Some of those gathering quests were so brutal that when I see someone complaining about spending an hour on a gathering quest I laugh because I once spent 3 days getting one done on a team due to RIDICULOUSLY bad drop rates, spawn timers and competition.

on save the Wee animals, just make a target macro, hit it, and interact with target.

Your junk is broken. All 5 of mine were able to loot him with one kill.

[edit] I was going to add a list of sucktastic quests but I realized that except for the kill quests, they ALL suck.

I dual boxed all of Hyjal, did a bit of Vash'yr (I found the underwater a bit confusing though) and have just started Deepholm once I hit 82.

My experince of cata has been awesome, flying into Hyjal and Deepholm is truly breathtaking and really smashes in the scale of these areas.

That being said there are only 2 quests I have hated so far, these are:

    http://www.wowhead.com/quest=25599

On launch night this was impossible to complete as the boss drops a chest that only 1 person could open, and the boss was on a 2-3 minute respawn timer. Awesome world pvp was happening in here though, I ganked many hordies trying to sneak in and ninja the chest lol.

Blizzard managed to make something as awesome as aerial jousting into one of the most awful vehicle quests ever. Easy to mb though as you can leave your slaves at the quest giver while you do the quest on your master and all get credit.

This quest seriously pissed me off, aerial jousting could be all types of awesome if we had complete control of the mounts, seriously flying is awesome, why break it with a stupid button to 'flap'???

I didn't really enjoy the Aerial Jousting... but didn't have much issue doing it either.
Made the mistake of having all toons use the birds at once; being in the lava did not hurt them.
Decided to park the other toons, once I saw they were sharing credit.

Basically, parked four toons at the quest guy.
    And flew one toon about.
When the "vehicle" was injured, landed at the quest guy and exited, then got a new one.
Gradually did all the stages like that.

When the flaming boulders were falling from the roof.
Landed for a new mount much more frequently.

And when there were eggs to break.
Just landed on an island and ran the bird like a ground mount.
Was very easy to avoid the falling boulders that way.
And got my 40 eggs done in a three or four minutes, on the single island.

The "flap" was what made it hard.
Since it is essentially an uncontrolled hop, with momentum.
Except that you can freely change your freely, and re-hop at will... each time gaining a bit of altitude.

This particular one was extremely easy and quick for me. Simply mount up, do a /tar Terrified (or whatever the name of the bunnys are), then spam IWT. Most of the time, at least 3 of my guys would "loot" the same rabbit and get credit. In the end, I think I had to target about 20 rabbits. The trick here is to mount up, and /target them. While you may grab random aggro here and there, you'll be done before you need to worry about killing anything or healing up.
