    Default What to do now

So I made it to 80 last Friday on my first team Prot Pally + 4 Shaman. I like to instance grind but my iLvl 200 gear or less got me murdered quick in the first Cata dungeon. Questing sucks in cata with so many players and all the collection quest. So my question is should I just level my Pally solo to 85 and come back and do instances with the team or wait and start on my healer + DK team till the masses leave the quest areas?

Grats on leveling a team to 80 before making your first post. You must have been reading a ton and are were able to sift through all the info for the good stuff.

It will be difficult to level a full team during the first week or two. I would get started on your next team while things calm down. Get your first team some questing gear then jump back in the cata instances and try again. I think avg ilevel 226 was the number being tossed around for the L80 cata dungeons.

    Good luck and have fun.

You can also boost yours stats with cata uncommons, which you can pick off the ah for 20-30g with some luck.

I'm not touching any of my 80s at the moment, haven't even bought x-pac yet. I'm leveling my PvE only team, and it's kinda nice...no competition at all in Northrend for quest areas/mobs. When Wrath came out, I did the same thing, wait a week or two for things to calm down then hit the new stuff.

I didn't upgrade to wrath until a month in. I won't upgrade to cata until at least a month this time. This time around I am short on cash because of underestimated taxes by my mortgage lender (new construction, not their fault).

I am doing L80 dailies for cash and guild progress and working on alt teams. Lots of fun for me and no headaches.

Hey Moose, do you still get the full gold on dailies if your account isn't upgraded?

While I agree that there are way too many collection quests (at least in Vashj'ir), at least the XP and cash/item rewards are good.
