Default Recruit a Friend in Cataclysm: the good news and the bad news.

As said in the title, i'll start with the good news: RAF will work on Worgen and Goblins, as will grantable levels!

However for the bad news, when asked if they plan on expanding 300% xp to higher levels, they said no.

Any news on whether or not they are going to reduce the xp required to level for levels 70-80? e.g. for wotlk release they reduced the xp for 60-70.

    Have not heard.
    But would guess yes.

They reduced 1-60, in early BC.
    60-70, in early WotLK.
There is precedent for 70-80, in early Cataclysm.

I think that because it is only a 5 level xpac, then there is a good chance that they might not reduce the xp requirements or they might just do a 10% reduction of some of the levels between 70 and 80

Would be interesting to find out

I am assuming that they'll do it a few months after the expansion ships. Then again, the leveling curve in WotLK never seemed that bad to begin with. I think that I was completing levels in about four hours just running quests with my shaman (rested XP). But they have made clear that they focus on the max level for all balancing and game play, so the faster you can get there, the better. March or April of 2011, maybe?

20% reduction with the next patch, so not bad at all.

Yeah, looks like they're putting it in with the next patch, which might happen as soon as this coming Tuesday.

so reading this I am now thinking anyone with the BoA shoulders and chest will basically have 4 free levels, i.e. 20% from the BoA gear and now 20% from the XP reduction. That should make for a lot faster Northrend leveling. I am very glad I parked my last team I leveled in the Inn at Valiance keep when they hit 70 (just from questing in Outland, no Northrend questing done). My second team should hit 70 over the weekend, so just in time if they roll this patch to the live servers on Tuesday.
70 - 71 was never to bad to get through
    Yay!!

    Faster leveling is nice.

Just running Grizzly Hills dailies on the DK's and Priests, since they should both hit 75th (for tradeskills) from that alone, prior to Cataclysm.
The Hunters are 71st now, so will need a bit more leveling; any boost is nice.

The priests are fun; I'm tempted to level them all the way up, having played them after the 4.x patch.
