Zerg was dumb not to do a runby when he destroyed your pylon so you got lucky there. Walling off is ok if you're not comfortable microing a defense while still macroing out probes and units. But if you're going to wall off like that, hold off and build a stalker or chrono to warpgate faster so you can place your units outside the wall w/o having to suicide a pylon. Building your cybernetics core before the forge would have done this. Indirectly you let your own wall force you to build a robotics bay and a warp prism when there was never a need for them at all. You could have spent that on 10 zelots to be meat shields for your stalker army.
Early scout as protoss is very nice. You can do harassment while you scout. Low tier players will either loose a worker thats building something or end up pulling extra workers to shoo yours away. That costs mining time for them. In the first minutes of play delaying them 20-30 minerals can be huge. I can be the difference between getting rushed and you having your first stalker out to totally deny their push. Also as protoss you can run around and regen your shield on the scout prob and get a lot more harassment in than terran or zerg. Even if you send just 2 probes to scout/harass they are required to pull more than you sent to defend. If they dont, you punish them for it.
Early scouting also can tell you what to go for a good counter. If you see fast tech to lair, then you know hes prolly going air so building immortals and zelots prolly wont do to well.
I am surprised that was a gold level match. Im no hero SC2 player and stuck in Bronze league but that was god awful on the zerg side.
10pool for zerg is pretty common. Its a supply cap spot that most zerg use to stockpile 200 minerals while they are waiting out the time for the first overlord to hatch. Better player zergs with better timing will get the overlord out on 9 and keep building workers to the 12-16 worker mark or even expand before pool. Any pool under 10 I would say is going for some sort of all in or cheese rush.
The best players are all about timings. In your video you had both blink and +1 weapons complete before you pushed out. As Day9 is famous for saying. What good are those upgrades if you are not using them. You could have delayed them and gotten out 2-4 more units. So what you could have done is when they were at 50% complete, start to push out, scout, snipe an overlord or something and when it completed been at your opponents base and put down the hurt. Instead of waiting for them at your base then pushing out 30-120 seconds later than you should have.
I highly recommend http://www.teamliquid.net and day9's archives at http://day9tv.blip.tv/posts?view=archive&nsfw=dc
