I'm guessing it's the same for both. My accounts have been upgraded and were showing the 1/2 gold reward when I originally posted this thread, but now they're back to their full amount. So I've seen it both ways with upgraded accounts.

It would be easier to code things one way for everyone.
So, I'd guess that is the way it will be.
