Pvp Shaman talents

Hi

Was wondering what specs people are going for battlegrounds/arena as shammies at 85..
After maxing Ele, specing into resto seems interesting! Between the two specs below which would you choose? and im aware people may have slight variations but you get the idea..

I think the resto variation would work very well in BG or arena! 3 great talents for survivabilty

For me, Instant Ghostwolf is a must have. I can imagine going resto for arena is nice though.

You will need a couple of talents in the +hit talent to get that capped that way if possible, but that also depends on what gear will be like at 85.

I'll definitely level my Pally/Warlock/3x Shammy team.
And if 5x Druids is not strong for PvE, then the Pally/Lock/Shammies will once more be my PvE team.

But I don't think I'll be using Shammies for PvP.
I do have six 80th shammies, across my teams, so a 5x PvP is an option...
But I really like the Druids, so haven't looked into the shammy options enough to give you an informed opinion.

Ancestrial Resolve is amazing!! but i dont understand why you wouldnt take lava surge? for 2 points its surely worth more than some hit??

Because you can't allign the procs. When 1 slave procs and you use a lava burst, his lvb is on CD for another 8 seconds. Then the CD from the other 3 shams finishes, so you cast a lvb on those. Char 2 who had a proc can't cast LVB because it's on cooldown.
So in the end I don't think it adds anything.

i see.. but i am using a cast sequence macro which uses lava burst whenever its off cd! or do you think in arena/pvp there wont be time to mess around? simple use all same spell like you suggest

Why not just macro your LvB ?

/castsequence Lightning Bolt,
/cast Lava Burst

This casts LvB whenever it's available.

It's a toss up.

Casting whenever available will be higher DPS then waiting until they're all ready.
But casting all at once, will be too much burst to react to and more likely to drop an opponent.

@NoLife.. that is what i mean by the macro i have.. Although I very much agree with Ualaa the dps increase with Lava Surge is very High although the burst is less.. Think I will have to wait and see what 85 brings
