    Default Getting better at Movement.

I've been back boxing again for a few weeks now after a 6-8month break from WoW. I figure my skill (if that is what I'm callin it ) is probably back to where it was pre-break, though tough to know for sure because my gear keeps getting better.

One of the bigger areas of weakness I have with respect to boxing would be fights that require movement.

    I use InnerSpace and ISBoxer.

    My team is
    Pali tank
    disc priest heal
    2x elem shaman
    1 arcane mage.

I've pondering getting another shaman to replace the mage to make things easier in the expansion (more heals) but may not worry about that.

At any rate, I do ok on simple movement, have a key to go out to diamond patter to space team. I can strafe to avoid spells/puddles. Much more than that though things break down pretty quick. It sounds like many of the new fights in the expansion will require more movement.

So with that said, how are folks handling this?

One thing I realize is I need some macros for all my instant spells so I can switch to a more mobile mode for dps.

I thought I should work on some of the fights I normally avoid for practice ( I've pretty much avoided Pit of Saron).

Things that can cause me problems, include but aren't limited to ...
    1) fights that throw my team all over the place, I find it sometimes hard to round everyone up, figure out where folks are. My solution is to do a big loop with my tank trying to round everyone up.
    2) Fights that require or are helped by dps on the run. I'm not really set up for this and probably should be.
    3) have no real ability to have dps follow /go to my healer or though maybe that would be helpful as well.

So any tips that folks have regarding movement, any macros or hotkeys folks use.

Also maybe some fights that would be good practice for these type of maneuvers.

    Thanks much!

With regard to going to your healer, the way I would do it is to create a macro that makes the healer your focus and then /follow focus. If they get thrown out of follow range, what I usually do is hit my IWT key - it has a further range than /follow - so they run at the boss/mob they're fighting, then when they get close-ish to where I want them, I hit a key to make them stop moving, then you could fire off that focus/follow macro to have them run to the healer, if that's what you need.

With a dedicated healer already on the team (Disc Priest), you won't often need any support from the Shammies.
If you like the damage or features (food/portals, etc) of the mage, no need for more Shammies.

Two totems gets you most of the buffs you would want for an all caster team (Prot Pally uses mana, benefits from spell power -- although Str is converted to SP so they don't need to stack it at all.).

I would consider a dual spec on one of the Shammies, to Resto. You won't need two healers all of the time, or even most of the time. But you'll have the option of Resto Shammy or Disc Priest as the healer, or possibly both if you felt an encounter was really challenging and not a DPS/Enrage race.
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

    The IWT is indeed awesome.

Personally i have IWT bound to shift W and Ctrl W. Shift W gets broadcasted by ISboxer to all windows exept for the current window. Ctrl W isn't broadcasted. Because of this i can let all slaves IWT with the target and let the main just be manually moved. Besides that i have the main IWT on a seperate button. No matter which window i'm playing. I absolutely love this setup. (I think I copied the setup from someone in the pvp section)

I have that same set up, essentially reversed - default is it only broadcasts to the slaves, with the modifier it includes the main. It's wonderful, happy-making, and makes life soooo much easier.

    great tips!

Thanks I'll try these out and let you know how it goes. I'm a bit nervous at how the new dungeons will be for boxing (at least at my skill level) but at the same time it will force me to get better and point out what my weaknesses are.
