Prot paladins

Huh...what rotation you using for that? Mine is unkillable but DPS is nowhere near what the rets put out on a boss.

Mercurio's macro but adjusted. On a bossfight the protadin will get owned, it's mainly the aoe dmg that keeps the overall dps high.
So -overall- the protadin does most damage. Spikes up to 1,8k, average is 1k dps. Casters spike up to 2,5k and average about 1,3k At lvl 73.

30% dmg from Hammer of the Righteous
12% from holy Wrath
12% from Avenger's shield
10% melee
10% consecration.

That's not with a 1 button castsequence though, Hammer of the right, holy wrath, avenger's shield and consecration are also on seperate keys.

While we're discussing prot paladins, I ran heroic Nexus last night as 5x protadin. Fastest run I've had in there. The AoE spam is absolute craziness. Hammers flying all over the place, everyone dazed all the time due to shields bashing mobs left and right. Very, very fun run. I'm planning to do a few more heroics tonight and see how it goes. I think over the run I was pulling about 4k dps as every pull in there almost is a 4-5 pull. Bosses were slower without the better single-target ret DPS but overall, a very fast and easy run. I imagine I will use the 5-prot setup for just about everything except bosses from here on out. Be interesting to see how it scales in the 81+ instances.

I think 5 or 4 prodin will be the best hope for melee boxing heroic 81+ and 85 heroics. I've tried various melee combos and specs for PVE post 4.0, without a healer that is. prodin is by far the best for instances.
