Not sure on the new ports sorry.I didn't pay attention to it. But they're there, and most likely part of the p2p stuff.

I have had really big problems with the p2p in canada, since most of our ISPs throttle it. At prime time wow is unplayable. At this moment neither wow or canadian isp networks are willing to do much.bli shouldn't have made these changes imo, but they went ahead anyways, knowingly of the situation. Now their just dodging the situation.

In order for the latency to decrease either wow has to revert back, or our isp needs to exclude wow from p2p, which I'm sure isp don't want to allow. It cost them money and in some isp companies, its how they keep they costs low. Additionally, they're is legal stuff involved.

Also note, this can happen to anyone outside of canada. If your isp does throttle p2p, then your affected, unless they fixed it. At&t networks seem too be fine, comcast customers can be throttled too. If your near a city, you can call your isp and ask about your options. Some can remove it, but it might cost you.

I hope they revert back. So many wasted nights figuring it all out. A bit of a silent war going on with wow and it's push for p2p over ISPs.

My antivirus (Kaspersky) detects the Blizzard launcher being patched as being similar to a known keylogger.
I keep adding the exception, but it really doesn't like when the launcher has an update.
Game updates run fine.

The only way to update the launcher, is deactivating the anti virus.
Seems quite funny, that Blizzards legitimate program comes up as similar to a keylogger and is not allowed to progress.

I know that Blizards anti boting program "warden" sometimes trips norton and macafee, everytime they update warden my norton always trip. I know at one point Norton actually stated the warden program meets there requirements as trojan/keylogger because of the scans that it does when it is running. Go figure. Be warn Blizzard is watching you play.....lol I have no reason why blizard will need to keylog my password when thay already have it...

congratulations.. you are one other several people with this strange problem.

it's around since 4.x and you can find a lot of posts on the blizzard tech forum,
but none knows what exactly causes it or a solution for it so far.

Well, same here... It's impossible to quest or do any "world" stuff, hte lag is huge.
at least doing good inside instances! (the tricky part is getting there when I do not have a friend online)

Lag spiking to 800-2000ms normal is 300ms for me.

The problem is i am getting this in instances too, so cant 5 box atm

Yeah i am starting to think that's the reason too. oh well
