    There is all the reading on specs and comparisons between the GTX 580 and other current GPUs on the market. From what I can tell, if you already have the GTX 480, just save your cash. Not worth the money for a 8-12% performance gain. I was going to buy a 480, but am now holding out and saving up for the 580 mostly for the lower power consumption, heat produced, and noise.

    The review I read yesterday stated that the power consumption is more then the 480 even tho NVIDIA says its not. Read it here

    But what is interesting is that power consumptions was actually higher than the GTX 480, not lower as NVIDIA claims. Yet we also really need to mention that the board used (engineering sample) had an older BIOS and that power consumption on this board might be a tad higher as a result of it.
