    Default Key Remapping

Hello all, i would like to know about key remapping which i see i cloud surely use in game at the moment with my current set up well im the not smartest guy when it comes to isboxer so i sometimes seem to figure stuff out pretty well with the guides and helpful commets & posts anyway this one im not sure about.

on my tank actionbar 1 keys 1-2 are my single tanking & multitanking macros i find myself often pressing the button 2 on my tank which is multitanking for aoe threat of course as i press this button my others toons do not which has become not so much of a problem i just want to correct this so i can get that extra dps in there maybe theres a way around this any ideas?

Erm, put the dps macro on key 2 aswell?

I got 2 keys for dps 1 is long rotation and 1 is for some fast scorch/searing pain spam. On my tank i have the same tanksequence on both keys. So the tank will do the same, where the dps will change their spells.

Key Maps are groups of Mapped Keys.

By default, you have these Keymaps: Control, General and FTL DPS.

The Control Key Map is always on.
Through the use of the Key Map toggle (a mapped key), which is in the Control Keymap, you can turn other Keymaps on or off.
If you create a new Key Map, you would want to modify this mapped key, so the new Key Map can be turned on or off.

A given mapped key, can have a hot key to activate it.
They don't need hot keys, as another mapped key might activate it.
Most will likely have a hot key, so you can manually activate it.

If a mapped key has a single step, then every time you activate it, the same thing happens.
If a mapped key has two steps, it does Step 1 on the first activation and Step 2 on the second (at which point it resets to Step 1).
Similarly a three step mapped key, would do Step 1, Step 2, Step 3, Step 1, Step 2, Step 3.

Right clicking on Steps, can create additional steps in a mapped key for you.
If you click on the "1" under steps, you'll see actions on the right pane.

The simplest action will be a Key Stroke Actions > New Keystroke Action.
You have to set the target of this action, as well as the key combination.
When you activate this mapped key, the target receives the key combination you have previously set.

    Common targets include:
    - Window:Current (only the toon you are currently playing).
    - Window: All w/o Current (the slave windows only).
    - Window: All w/ Current (both the master and the slave).
    - A specific Slot number (meaning any character, from any team, in that Slot).
    - A specific character name.
    - All of a character set.
    - All of (without current) a character set.
    - An Action Target Group (which you would have to define in advance).

You could create a one step mapped key.
Give it the hotkey of "2".
Which is your AoE threat macro on your tank.

The action will be to send a keystroke action "2" to Character Name (Tank).
Another action will be to send a keystroke action "1" to each of the other characters on the team (or to an action target group, which the other toons belong to).
Now, when you push "2", the tank receives "2" and the others receive "1".
If you had two tanks on the team, you could have the current window receive "2" and the other windows receive "1".

Note - there are already mapped keys (in the FTL DPS Keymap), with the 1 through = hot keys to activate.
A simpler approach might be for the DPS to have their macro on both 1 and 2, while the tank has the single target macro on 1 and multi-target macro on 2.

In Mercurio's sticky thread, his Macros.
You could create a new mapped key.

Give it a hot key, like "1".
    Give it two steps.
    - Step 1, sends "1" to all windows.
    - Step 2, sends ";" to all windows.

    When you spam "1", it alternates between presses of 1 and ;
So you can run two castsequences, alternating between the two.
Even if one reaches a point where it sticks.
The other can advance (and you're spamming the "1", so no DPS loss here).
And as soon as the other can advance, it will.
