Not sure how useful this might be to some, and the details aren't all there, but this might be a faster way to log in while keeping your account secure..... Or at least more secure than not having it

What is the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator?
The Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator is an optional tool that offers Battle.net account users an additional layer of security to help prevent unauthorized account access. If you sign up for the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator, you will be asked to make a toll-free phone call from a specific phone of your choosing to authorize login attempts with the associated Battle.net account. You will be asked to make this phone call when something is unusual about the login attempt. For example, you may be asked to call when you play World of Warcraft from a different location than you normally do.
How does the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator work?
When the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator's protection activates, you will see a message displaying a toll-free phone number when you attempt to log in. Simply call this number and enter your PIN plus a single-use security code that we display on your game screen, and your login should complete within seconds.
What countries and/or regions are supported by the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator?
Currently, the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator is only available to U.S. residents. Additional regions and countries may be added in the future.
How secure is the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator?
Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator is not susceptible to several common methods of account theft (such as keylogging) because the authentication process is handled over the phone rather than on your computer. An account hacker would need to have access to your phone and know your PIN.
How much does the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator cost?
The Dial-in Authenticator is completely free to sign up for and use; Blizzard Entertainment will not charge you for this service. You will be asked to make phone calls to a toll-free phone number. If you use the Dial-in Authenticator with a mobile phone, the toll-free calls you make may count towards your monthly usage limit, and you may be charged by your phone service provider if your usage of the Dial-in Authenticator incurs overage charges. Check with your phone service provider for more information.
How do I sign up for the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator?
After logging in to Battle.net Account Management, select "Security Options" in the main menu. Select Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator from the options on that page, and then follow the steps to sign up.
What games and services does the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator protect?
The Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator protects any World of Warcraft accounts attached to a Battle.net account, as well as Battle.net Account Management. The Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator is not currently compatible with StarCraft II, though that may change in the future.
Can I program my phone to call and enter my PIN?
If your phone allows you to save phone numbers, you can enter a comma or press and hold # for a few seconds until you see a "p" (the exact method may vary by phone) after the toll-free Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator number, and then enter your PIN. The next time you call using the saved entry, your phone should dial the toll-free number, pause for 2 seconds, and enter your PIN automatically. You will still have to enter the single-use security code manually, as it changes each time.
Can I change my Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator number?
To use the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator with a different phone, you will need to opt out of the service by calling 1-888-493-1791 and then opt back in with the new phone number.
What if I forget my PIN?
If you ever forget your PIN, please contact Blizzard Entertainment customer support at http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/cs
Does the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator work with World of Warcraft Remote?
Yes. However, you may wish to use our Battle.net Mobile Authenticator instead if you use the Mobile Auction House frequently, as it will likely be more convenient.
Can I have multiple Authenticators (keychain, mobile app, or Dial-in) active at the same time?
Each Battle.net account can only have one security method active at any given time, including our Authenticator products. You can change your active security method at any time through Battle.net Account Management.
Can I use the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator with a VoIP number like Skype or Google Voice?
You can use a Google Voice number with Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator, but Skype is not compatible at this time.
Will the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator work for me when I travel?
If you travel frequently and plan to log in to your account, we recommend that you opt out of the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator while you are away or use an alternate Authenticator product instead. International travelers in particular will want to use an alternate account security method.
How can I change my PIN?
To change your Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator PIN, call 1-888-493-1792.
Are any PINs not allowed?
The following PINs are not permitted: four repeated numbers (1111), four sequential numbers (1234), the last four digits of the toll-free Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator number, or the last four digits of the phone number you use.
How can I opt out of the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator?
To opt out of the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator, call 1-888-493-1791.
What if the phone number I use for the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator is different from the one included in my Battle.net account's contact information?
If the two phone numbers are different, the phone number you use for the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator will replace the phone number currently on file in your Battle.net account. However, if you later update your contact information in Battle.net account management, it will not overwrite your Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator number.
Can I use multiple phone numbers, for a shared account between a parent and child?
No, we currently support only one Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator phone number at a time per account.
Can I use the same phone number on multiple accounts?
No.
Whom should I contact if I am having technical issues with the Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator?

This is neat.

Have a security feature which a hacker cannot acquire (without stealing your cellular phone), which only activates when your or a hacker attempts to log in from a location outside of your home.

Depending how reliable the tracking of "unusual activity" is, we could have the benefits of authenticator protection, and only be required to enter that information when suspicious activity occurs.

With this method, you ring once to authorize your phone number then you don't have to do anything unless Blizzard detects your account being accessed from a dodgy or different location.

Neat idea. I hate using my authenticator x5. But I am relaxed that all my accounts are safe and secure.

I'm in the same boat, and since I can do other things while I wait for the next code, it's not a huge pain.

The only reason I wouldn't use the dial in service (apart from not being in the US) is that your number can only be applied to one account, so now that I'm slowly using more than one account, it isn't really an option.

Well, if you put all of your accounts into a single B.Net account.
And can log in, without a code and without issue, if you're doing so from your home.

But you need to phone in, if you want to log in from a friends place, or a hotel when on a road trip.
And a hacker/keylogger also needs you to call in, if they're logging in anywhere other then from your house.

If that's how it works, then I'd rather have the phone feature then a keyfob.
Of course, have to wait until the service is offered in Canada.

Yeah, this is going to make logging in SO MUCH FASTER.

The only problem is that it won't work for guilds that require authenticators to access the g-bank. Which may or may not hose me at this point.

You should give it a test as there are a few people in Canada that say it works for them (apparently US toll-free numbers work for Canadians) but you probably have a better idea than I do
