I was it with a 72 hour ban after I bought a mount off the AH for 50k, took over 12 hours to reverse it which was the annoying part.

Seems that I was banned automatically given the GM reply, as mentioned above keep using the in game ticket to try to get your account flagged as non-goldseller.

I would open a ticket on all of your toons.

Specifically asking that a note be made that your accounts are being multiboxed by the same person.
Mention Blizzard can check that each account is run from the same IP address.
And that they each have the same registered address on them.

I have five different B.Net accounts, with one Warcraft account per B.Net.
Whenever I do transfers, I mail from my banker to a character on the same account who belongs to the team that needs the gold.
That toon then distributes the gold to each character on that team.
Have done that with gold for Epic Flyers, on multiple teams.
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

I asked this on EU realms, twice even. Both told me there is no such thing as a note attached to an account/char/whatever.

Over the years, I've seen quite a few posts here, where people mention doing that.
Did not actually get a GM response when I did my ticket, was offline by the time it got answered.

Not sure if there is policy differences between the US and the EU realms.

as said, use gbank for these things with your chars. it looks safer way.

several months ago, i offered some presents to my friends: golds and chopper mounts.
i opened a ticket before these donations.
In-game GM told me that there was a risk doing these operations: their automated system about survey tradings could flag me and suspend/ban me.
GM suggestion was, in case, to contact them and explain the facts, advicing about this current ingame ticket.
but he told me too... to avoid open a ticket to advice them about my transactions, not useful and nothing they can do before:so...a curious nonsense.
luckly, here it was not needed: nothing happened.

+ recently i helped total re-gearing a friend that decided to stop playing and deleted his char and after decided to come back, but got char restored from delete ->naked. traded with him almost a full gear. again, nothing happened.

i m often involved in little "lend me" activities: 2k to friend, 3k to other friend etc. no issues.
some weeks ago moved 70/80k gold through neutral ah to my horde team. again all it s gone ok.

i think now there is, probably, a sort of limit for single operation.
over that value you get 100% automatically flagged.

Yep I got a banned for Abuse of the Economy as my wife on her account gave me 15k for a mount, I reply to the email and explain what happened it took 6 days for them to account access restored and they accused me of buying gold >.<

Only yesterday I logged in again and another ban, this time I had no idea why I go banned so this time I phoned them up, the guy on the other end of the phone asked me what I had been over the last few days that might be suspision? hmmm
Well I bought Blood of the mountain and Ingots on 3 different toons on 3 different servers for the toons to be transfered to my main server. ( I bought these on the server coz they were cheap and esp rare Blood of the mountain are really hard to find on AH on the server tat im on)
At the time I didnt think of any that I would get banned for that, but he said its looks very suspicion.
I explained my action for this this to create a legendary weapon for our small guild for the achievements in cata. He said he will be sending a letter to the other department, and why I have do them actions So i guess I will be waiting another 6 days ;(

I been Ive been playing since 3 weeks since Wow game out many moons again, there is no reason for me to be buying or selling gold!!
Thou I always said that if i got a permant ban I wouldnt come back to the world of warcraft
Starting from nothing with no gold, no boes and no 80s bah forget it. I would find something else to interest me,

I think its best just to send GM a message explaining ur actions what u are going to do and play it safe that way.
LOL i think every action I do i feel like send a GM a message !!!
coz waiting for my account to restored is BULLSHIT. 6 days to do others things.

When I was prepping for a server transfer, I created a GM ticket.
Blizz told me they were happy I did, so when/if the alarmbells went off, they knew about it.
Amount of gold was around 40k.
    Kul Tiras - EU: [A] Prot Pala +3x Shaman + Mage @ 110
    Lots of others around 85

Just for test I've create ticket for GM team, I've explain situation & give all my accounts name.. It was 30+ hours ago.. still no answer.. But I'm 90% sure that there will be no real help, only some standard answer
However from my point of view Blizz support is best game support ever, so I don't really blame them.

Totally agree here. You might have the odd case where a GM is unknowing, woke up in a bad mood, or has a bad day. But if you read throughout this site how people got helped over the phone/ingame, then it's a pretty awesome CS.

On topic: my accounts are all in the same bnet. A few weeks ago I traded way over 1m g at 200k a time from toon A to toon B (basically I pulled the gold out of gbank 1 to store it into another gbank), nothing happened. I swap quite often 10-30k around in a trade window, without anything in return, never had probs. This while I often use 2 different IP's at the same time. Nor did I ever contact any GM whatsoever about this.

My only guess is that the flagging system has 2 tiers. Once you got flagged for whatever reason, the security checks are way more strict.

Completely have to disagree where they are "Good" or even "Great" support, they are on par perhaps but nothing special.
I was hacked back in 09, when I attempted to call CS to figure out what was wrong with my account (Couldn't reset password repeatedly) they sent a password reset to the e-mail on file which was promptly reverted back to the hacker pw. Before I could even click the link the guy on the other line goes "Well that will fix it, you need to hang up now." I told him simply No not until I can actually get in the game, he responded by hanging up. Awesome customer service there.

Of course I wasn't able to get in as the gold farmer was currently cleaning out my account. I called back and got yet another d-bag. This one gave me a simple run around, I told him my security question had been compromised, he said "Don't share you password or security question with anyone, I am sending you a password reset, have a great day." Then again, this guy hung up too.

This was just 2 of the problems during this one incident. Not to mention 2 cases of "Accidental" over billing and more run around.

Great customer service? No far from it. Better then Turbine or similar companies, Ya probably. But apparently results...drastically.

But on topic... Previous to this incident I used to trade gold pretty easily with no trouble, but after being "compromised" and only -1- account was at the time compromised if I trade any amount of cash over about 15-16K I get the axe. All accounts under my name seem to be flagged. It seems once flagged you will always be flagged even after repeated tickets/phone calls stating "I am not a gold seller!"
