I haven't seen any but even if that were true, it should only be for azeroth. WotLK zones aren't changing

If you go this way tho, you'll be gimping your gear, hence slowing your progressing at 80.

Cata instances aren't going to be a walk in the park for a undergeared 80. I'd suggest working on your crafting for a few days earning up some rested

And the questing will be possible, but as far as I read, there stuffed with collections which we all know suck badly to box. I bet even the group quests will be rough for undergeared 80's. There is a huge jump in GS past 80, so stuff will most likely be tough to run.

Sadly I have no teams near 80 that arent 80 yet. Instead ill just be rotating through my different teams on the way to 85 (lvl 81 team 1, lvl 81 team 2, lvl 81 team 3, lvl 82 team 1... ect.) or just farm herbs/ore or other professions for a few days, like stated already.

Rested xp does not accumulate for getting you any higher than 80, so the only way to start with full rested would be to have stopped at 78.5, which would be rather pointless, since you'd not be ahead at all.

The only way to do it effectively which he stated later in this thread was to complete 25 quests and dont turn them in and be at about lvl 79.6 then on dec 7 turn them all in and walla 80 with .4 of a lvl rested :P

On another site I recall a player talking about having a quest log full of completed quests requiring only a turn-in. He figured that on day one, as everyone was swarming over the initial quest areas, he would simply fly around and turn in his 25 quests and get somewhere around 500,000 experience from those. Maybe it's a good idea, maybe it doesn't really help as much as he expects.

To be honest, I hadn't thought about it because I tend to level and play at my own pace. How many months has it been since I had a level 80 character? Heck, how many months since I have had seven of them? I don't even remember how long ago it was since I started spending most of my time farming content. I'm not in a hurry. By the time the follow-up to Cataclysm ships, I might have as many as 20-30 characters at level 85 and at least two of each profession max'ed.

"Just don't forget to place your HS to Stormwind/Orgrimmar, before you lay to rest in Dalaran at Dec 6. The portals won't be there when you wake up. So just fly a circle in Storm peaks and Icecrown, net 25*20K = 500K XP, press your HS and you can go to the questgiver bulletin.

One more tip: /who the two zones (Vashij'ir and Mount Hyjal) and choose the less populated. Don't forget to do it on the opposing faction, especially in PvP server, and if it shows 49 players, pick some classes (/who mage vashij'ir).

PS: many commenter say that the vial of poison does not give XP in Beta, so don't collect this quest."
