    Red face IS Boxer question

    hiya,

I have been a long time user of keyclone. I tried ISBoxer a long time ago but then it wasnt to my liking. But I guess that since so many use it to box I should give it a serious try.

One of the things I hated when I had the try version was having all 5 toons on one pc. I had way more lagging than I am used to so I gave it up.

So before I try it more detailed I would like to know if I have to buy 2 subscriptions if I am to use it on 2 pc's. Sadly the cash isnt there to upgrade to a monster pc.

    TIA

    Purchasing

The Pro versions of our software are available for personal, non-commercial use at only $10 for 90 days, or $36 for 365 days, for use on up to 5 PCs! Purchasing any of our products also gives you access to all of our other current products!
So there you have it. You can run it on 5 if you want so 2 should not be a problem.

ISB can appear to be abit overwehelming to start off if you have been using KC as its much more involved, the reason its more involved is because you have alot of functionality.

took me a little while to adapt but soon as i understood you will see the benifits.

the best part is real time changes, especially with the windows.

thx Tight for pasting it. I only saw the 10$ for 90 days 36$ for 365 days when I looked at their site. Looks like I got a long weekend with koffein ahead of me in testing it.

No idea why it might give you a headache unless you're running your monitors at a different Hz than what is
recommended. As it has been mentioned many times before that IS renders all your windows at the main screen's
resolution in order to obtain instant window swapping, this obviously requires more horsepower from your
computer. This means one of two things:

    1. Turn your slave video settings down to the bare minimum. People make window swapping macros like
    these for a
    reason.

    2. Turn off the instant swap feature of ISBoxer essentially removing the need to render all of the slave windows at
the main resolution and acting more like Keyclone does. In turn, you lose 1:1 mouse broadcasting.

If you can at all work it... instant swap and mouse broadcasting are very nice features to keep.

You can dramatically turn down the graphical options, either/both for the slaves or the master.
Which reduces the load on your system.

FYI im currently running 5 clients on my laptop with a dualcore i7 620m always in turbo mode. beats my old desktop computer by a mile.

i did have the i7 940xm extreme core but had TDP issues so removed it and stuck with 620 for now, jsut shows you even my laptop can run this easily with 2 cores.

its a age of laptops and small devices, bulky stuff is going to be obsolite soon.

The way I got started with IS Boxer close to a year ago (coming from Keyclone and before that Octopus) was to build a mono-class DPS group (I did Magex5), leave it with everything on WOW default (interface, keybinds, etc ...). Then I ran the IS Boxer Wizard (with Jamba), and ... that was it ! Basic functionalities were, well, functional (FTL assist, follows, grouping, you name it), and I just had to build up to more complex things.

This is what I did too. I started with the wizard and figured the other features out one at a time. It's easy to get overwhelmed with ISB especially if you already have limited play time. It's well worth it in the end though.
