    Default team composition?

    Hi all, new to-be-multiboxer here.

I have my 5 accounts, 4 full accounts with TBC and 1 trial that gets error 203 no matter where I try and upgrade from trial from. so I am getting a battlechest soon so i can upgrade over the phone and have blizzard support do it for me with my codes ( thats what we agreed on with the supervisor in charge at the time when i called)

I am using ISBoxer and slowly working out each of the functions and getting it all set up. I am also new to wow ( level 52 human paladin in a weeks worth of playing and thats as far as my wow experience goes!

Now I need some team compositions!

I want to do PVE firstly, for that I am thinking of paladin and 4 shamans. Not too fussed on horde vs alliance although it would be nice to get the +1% hit from drenai as alliance. I am also thinking human paladin. Thats if I went with alliance. What races would be good if I went with horde? blood elf paladin ( only option ) and troll shamans?

I also want an all shaman team ( that doesnt use the shamans from the other team so 5 fresh chars) for pvp, and dailies. if I went alliance they would have to be drenai. If I went horde I was thinking tauren ( more HP and able to AoE stun.)

I would like a 5 x hunter for farming, pvp, dailies. dwarves ( increase crit with guns) or if horde either orcs ( better pet damage) or troll ( bow crit)

I'd also like to make more teams as time allowed, for more dailies per day = more gold!

Anyhow I want them all the same faction ( all my teams i mean)

What do people think? horde or alliance to accommodate the said teams I chose?

Also it will be on an EU server non PVP that hasnt been chosen yet ( the level 52 pala only took 1 week soloing it so I can change easily)

Why do you want two sets of shamans?

well I want 1 PVP set and then 4 others and a paladin for PVE heroics running. having different sets gives me 2 major benefits. twice the daily gold income. Addon sorting out.

As a lot of addons save per char ( macaroon being a major one) I'd rather not have the hassle of swapping profiles for each time i swap between sets ( twice daily really + more if I wanted some change).

Just a bit of advice, but don't do your two shaman team. With ISBoxer switching between profiles for PvP/PvE is trivial once you know what you're doing. If it's for gold then I'd suggest rolling a different team (boomkins maybe?) to do dailys. Spend the time to learn ISBoxer and you'll use it for everything, including replacing Macaroon. Your plans are big, and I wish you the best, but I'd focus on one thing at a time.

well I am waiting on this battleclinic atm, so i have the weekend and then 2-4 days delivery time to get through. so untill then I cant go above level 20 on 1 of my guys. typically its a guy who doesnt get RAF levels awarded to him.

So for now I am trying to plan teams I will have later on, and get them all to level 20 ( easily doable with the 3 teams i posted earlier and probably more ) its just picking faction/ race/ class combos now that i am having problems with.

There's no gain in leveling the same class twice on the same account.

I'd recommand to start with 4 sham + protadin if you like both PVP and PVE. Since 4 shaman will be sufficient to own BG. And the team will also do well in PVE.

Once you get the hang of it, it's down to what you like. Prefer melee? prefer caster? Like a class specificly? Almost everything is possible.

Unless you plan to transfer them to another account later.....

There is no way that a 5 shaman team is better for pvp then 1 pal / 4 shaman.

If the Pal is your leader you will draw fire to the Pal who will be harder to kill then a shaman.

I'm always amazed when people who have limited experience in the game (no offense meant, main being a 52 paladin is limited experience in my book) decide to go full on multiboxing with 5 toons multilied by x teams.
Seems to me like such a big task, and so much to learn to actually play the game correctly.

I mean, my first ever toon (a nelf hunter ) was wearing int gear up to level 47, with no idea of what ap was or how agility benefited him. Granted, this was at the very beginning of classic wow and things were different then, but still, you get my point.

    anyway, back to the topic.
I'm with owltoid here, i see no reason for you to have 2 teams of shamans. Get some more fun by doing a different team instead :-)
Moving them to another account is not a valid argument imho, as you could say that of any class (why not level a second paly tank? you might want to move it later!)

It seems your major motivation is making gold... Not sure that's the best way to approach the game lol.
In any case, gold is *very* easy to make, and having 5 teams running the same content day after day after day is the best way to burn out and get sick of the game.
Heck, i can't even do it repeatedly on 1 team without hating the dailies. After all, people call it the daily *grind*.. and you want to do it 5x times more than other players :-)

I would suggest you start with your paly+4 shaman
A 5x hunter team can be fun, but make sure you have a try at the other classes as well, tehre is quite some variety and playstyles.
I'd go with 5 druids, as they can do well in pvp and pve.
lastly i would add a mixed caster team (mage/druid/lock/priest/shaman for example), and make the shaman on the paly account to have your 5x shaman team when you want it

    Go Horde or go home.

I did dailies, with 2-3 teams for quite a while... basically funding alchemy across six teams. That got rather boring, incredibly fast.

Boxing can make you gold, but passive income from transmutes or the like, is probably the best approach to making gold. You could also cover each of the major tradeskills, and pick up recipes to create whatever the best purchasable gear for a fresh 80 (85 in Cata) is, along with whatever the best craftables are for the current content. Just running heroics/battlegrounds for gems and DE mats is decent too.

I wouldn't box, for gold as the motivation. But if you enjoy boxing, gold is a very nice side byproduct from having so many cooldowns. Play teams/compositions that you feel are fun. Definitely take advantage of Recruit A Friend (RAF) when starting.

    You might consider something like:
    A: Strong PvE team.
    B: Strong PvP team.
C: Melee team (or Caster team), whichever you didn't go with as your main team, for the aspect of the game you enjoy the most.
D: Mixed team, fun to mess around with.

Easy to get four teams to 60th, in three months of RAF. Pick whichever seems the most fun, and play them most of the time, but bounce around a bit to always be playing with rested. Mix it up, maybe to tradeskills for a bit, then level via quests or battlegrounds or instances, etc. Keep it fresh...
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.
