Took my druids in and killed him. First fight he dropped the horse for one of my alts. Never thought i would see it. But to me, it is worthless unless I can get 5 of them. Might take years!

I got 1 yesterday for my alt. My main had got one a few years ago, hoping i can get 2 more for the rest. Heard a rumor that if you hit him before he lands the person who hit him first has higher chance of mount. I'm betting rumor is 100% crap but it would be cool if it isn't.

Congrats! I got it last night on my main as well. I was afraid it would be a repeat of Brewfest - didn't see a mount drop on any of my toons. Good luck with the rest of your team!

Yeah and if you rub a kitten on the head, run around SM 5 times, then chant Horseman's reigns you have a higher chance for it to drop.

That's not how the game works. There was a thread many years ago on the Blizz forums discussing such things. You can't up your chances and random is random. Think the blue said everything is determined the moment a mob is spawned.

I know it is probably just an effect of random chance but it does seem like the drop rate is higher this year. I used to kill him probably 10 times a day in years past and never saw one drop but this year I have witnessed a bunch of people getting them (including one on one of my alts). Probably just dumb luck this year but who knows ... even a couple percentage point increase in drop rate could have a profound effect.

I think they upped the drop rate.

I've gotten 3 of 4 on my pally team and 1 of 4 on my shaman team so far.

So keep it up! Only bad thing is that one of the pallies has gotten it twice....

It seems like they upped it. I got 3 so far total. Even if they went from 1% to 2%, that's double the drop rate.

I have yet to see one drop in four years of playing. In fact one of my alts literally got an empty bag this year. The screen message said "You bag is empty." then gave me some justice points. /sigh
