There were parts that were pretty damn boring. When it was Complexity vs. AAA and they were playing LMD vs. LSD it was /yawn... matches were 20 minutes long with no deaths, and wins decided by damage.

That wasn't working because AAA's warlock was affliciton and beating out complexity's destrolock in damage, so they switched to disc priest instead of druid. That made it interesting.

The whole thing was pretty sad, we had to stop and have blizzard review a match because there were some "legal" challenges to how the final round played out. I think this took the wind out of complexity and they lost shortly after in another "final" match.

I had a good time. Blizzcon has always been 2-days, so it wasn't a day shorter.

I loved the SC2 custom map showcase. I can see myself playing StarJeweled quite a bit in the future. Aiur Chef and Left2Die were cool, but not something I'd play very often. Dota was just amazing, and I can't wait to see the finished version.

I wasn't really expecting any big announcements. Wings of Liberty just launched, Cata comes out in a month and a half, and D3 seems to be coming along pretty well too. The only thing I could think of that they might have revealed was a cinematic trailer for Heart of the Swarm, since I'm assuming it'll be almost done by next Blizzcon.

The tournaments were definitely better this year. I dunno if it was DirecTV's influence, but the coverage and commentary this year were a huge improvement over the last two years.

My only complaint is the lines. With more and more people each year, the lines are getting crazy. The longest one I was in was for StarJeweled, which took over 1.5h .

We actually watched every match Red was in on Sunday, but once they announced them as the winner, we didn't stay around for the ring ceremony. We'd been sitting in those super uncomfortable chairs for hours and wanted to eat so we left. Little did we know they would reverse the win about 30 minutes later. It really sucked to stay there till we were told it was the end only to read about it in the forums and not even in an official statement from Blizzard.

Also, they way they did the main stage this year without all the extra screens on the ceiling meant it was all but impossible to see anything. Last year you could see a screen even sitting in the back corner on the floor, this year even decent seats couldn't see anything.

Had a great time, but was really disappointed on all the little things that they let slip through their fingers.
