Character and Faction change cost

Ugh, $30 to faction change since I am currently horde. Then $25 for transfer. So, for each team it would cost me $275. I have 8 teams total. Yuck.I know I wouldn't have to transfer all of them but my favorite teams are shamans, druids, rogues and hunters.

I did create 5 DKs (and joined the guild) but actually don't love that class. But it would take so long to level other teams! RAF is on my mind right now.But then I would have to buy 5 new copies of Wow, BC and Lich. Then Cata. That would be a huge investment in its own right and then there would be a huge investment of time leveling the teams I want to play.

Just wanted to post my current thoughts. Your thoughts are appreciated!

Ive done a 5 pack server + faction change transfer 2x now.. but just for one team. x8 would be a bit much. Nothing really to add here, its totally up to you.

If you're looking for advice id say either a) Least amount of money spent = transfer a boosting character over and level up 4 new people through dungeon grinding. b) if you want to spend a bit more, just bring one team, whatever you think your "main" cata team will be.

If things are going well and you think youll be around a long time then maybe think about bringing the other groups over (could do it gradually).

It really comes down to how much your own time is worth. You've leveled 8 teams to 80 already so you've proven that you have
some patience to possibly level another team w/o RaF. However, I wouldn't start moving anything over until you see how active
LoB is again in Cataclysm. While I'm sure it will pickup as it does with every new expansion, The Zerg may pick up as well... you
never know.

I think Blizzard needs an "all in" type of char/faction transfer. I'm sure there are people with multiple 80s by now, and even non boxers, if they have their guild change servers, it starts to add up really quickly. IMO they need to implement something like a $100 per account "mass migration" that moves every eligible character to another realm.

But as I said in guild chat last night, try calling blizzard and explaining the situation. There must be at least ONE GM who has sympathy, and realizes that spending $2000 is ridiculous.

Or at least a minimum, where you get like 20% off when you purchase more than 3 transfers..

I think I have decided I will go ahead and move one team over now and maybe another later as well as setup RAF in the future.

I am not sure if you guys raid or not but.

If you had a choice between me bringing 5 lvl 80 ok geared shamans or 5 kinda okay geared druids (all spec'd balance with 1 dual spec as feral and one dual spec as tree) which would you see as most desirable for the guild? Feral tank is geared pretty good but not raided with it. Just heroics.
