This post was a big eye opener but I fail to see how sending ';' will do wonders for my dps.

I mean... There is no way I can keep track of all procs from 5 dps, and send the proc macro to
the one that is currently under the effect. Unless automated, and (ideally) linked to the same key
it simply won't happen. Will this toggle effect acomplish this?

Pardon me for being thick but I simply don't get it

Hey Tranz, you may already know this, but the ";" that you get ISBoxer to send half the time won't do anything unless you associate the ";" keypress to a button on your quick bars that fires off the Proc Macro for whatever toon you are running.

Once you associate the "2" key with the Sequence Macro and the ";" key with your Proc Macros, you never have to keep track of any procs for any of your toons. The macros are set up to optimize your DPS when you simply spam "2" on your keyboard. ISBoxer alternates your keypresses and you end up with great DPS.

Hmm I am still not very clear on how ";" will fire off and where the "alternating" happens. The toggle we setup as "insert" is not part of my DPS spam right ? It is there for me to disable to function or enable it.

when it is enabled , it is not a 2 step key spam as shown in. For 2 steps, you need to have 2 steps each send 1 key stroke, not 1 step that send 2 key strokes.

    So question NO.1

It is 1 key spam that sends two key strokes. So when I spam "2", it will fire off both "2" and ";" and sending them to all windows at the same time? And this is equivalent to spam "2" and ";" at the same time , not alternating between the two.

    question NO.2

How would the proc ever fire off ? If "2" is always spammed, by chance, it might always fire Lightning bolt, not lava burst.

I understand this 2 step macro works as many have tested. Just trying to understand the mechanism behind it.

I must also be doing something wrong. I have mine set up like this:

    • 2-step set to toggle between hotkeys 9 and 10
    • 2-step bound to hotkey 3
    • Insert toggles 2-step on/off
    • Spell macros copied to 9
    • Proc macros copied to 10

Doing the above I dropped from 4.5k dps to 1.9k dps on the one shaman that I did it for. It looks like the toggle is working fine, and I see the spells rotating between each hotkey.

    Am I missing something?

What is hotkey 3? Is this your action bar button 3? You copy your existing FTL DPS Keys DPS 9 and rename it 2 step (or whatever) then modify it to ALSO spam 10. Then make sure your toggle, Insert key in this case, is set to activate the 2 step FTL DPS Key that you made. So when you press Ins it will activate that keymap and pushing the 9 key on your keyboard will spam the macros on 9 and 10.

Ah, I see. Yes, hotkey 3 is just action bar 3. I was leaving it blank, and letting it spam hotkeys 9 and 10. I'm assuming there's something with that that's giving the DPS drop.

    I'll try it again tonight.
