Test your balance macro closely unless they hotfixed it when you get solar eclipse your shit will hang on sunfire.

I think that was his reasoning for not taking the sunfire talent.

I'll give it a try and see if I get a nice difference in numbers.

One last thing, when do you use the non-alternating state? if for whatever reason you get stuck on missiles?
The only time I ever use the non-altering state is when I'm typing in my authenticator codes or typing messages to others in-game and need to use the number 2 (otherwise, half the time it ends up as a ";").

In-game I'm always using the alternating state.

Yep, the Sunfire talent screws up all the balance macros. Fortunately, there are still enough filler talents in the balance tree that you can avoid it and still get to the mandatory 31 points so you can branch out to the other trees. If that was a problem for me, there is no way my boomkin would have hit 8600 DPS on 3D Sartharion.

Once sunfire is not a problem, it is simply a task of using enough wraths to get you to one side of the eclipse bar consistently followed by enough starfires to get you to the other side consistently. Since the bar state saves from fight to fight and there is no reset in the macro, you get to an eclipse state pretty quickly in each new fight and stay there the whole time. Of course, you also want Insect Swarm and Moonfire going off just before they expire and your Starfire going off as often as it procs (proc macro does this for me, though a fall-through in the sequence macro might also work).

This used to be a post about how to set up the 2 Step in ISBoxer - I moved to first post in green and deleted it from here to make this thread pretty(er).

To optimize for max DPS, you'd just chain-cast Arcane Blasts, meaning you'd be at the max damage buff for all casts after the first four, but you'd run out of mana very quickly that way.

    Seems to indicate -
Arcane Blast no longer buffs the damage of all Arcane spells. Instead, it only buffs its own damage. The Arcane Blast stack still stacks to 4 and is still cleared with the casting of any other Arcane spell.

    Are they wrong?
I haven't really taken the time to test this.

Create another mapped key within "FTL DPS Keys" called "2 Step" that is also called when you press "2" but has two steps - the first sends "2" to all windows (exactly as above), while the second step sends ";" to all windows.

Now all you need to do is set up a new mapped key in your "Control" key map. I called mine "2 Step Toggle" and associated it with the "Insert" key. It will have two steps in it.
    Step one has 3 actions:
    1) A new mapped key state action (one of the options when you add a new step) that toggles the "DPS 2" mapped key within "FTL DPS Keys" to On
    2) A new mapped key state action that toggles the "2 Step" mapped key within "FTL DPS Keys" to Off
    3) A popup text with a message like "2 Step Turned OFF"
    Step two has 3 actions:
    1) A new mapped key state action that toggles the "DPS 2" mapped key within "FTL DPS Keys" to Off
    2) A new mapped key state action that toggles the "2 Step" mapped key within "FTL DPS Keys" to On
    3) A popup text with a message like "2 Step Turned ON"

That's it! Use "Insert" to turn your toggle on or off.

Attach the sequence macros to your "2" key in WoW and the proc macros to your ";" key in WoW. Done.

(Of course, you may want to associate your proc macros with something other than ";" - Pinot used "9" and sent the 2nd step of his "2 Step" mapped key action to "9".)

    Hope that helps.
Thanks for this, I've just come back after a two year break from WoW and changed over to ISBoxer from Keyclone in the process. Still learning the new system but little tricks like this are superb.

But a quick note for the unwary. If, like me, you're in the habit of changing keymap settings in ISBoxer and uploading the changes while your sessions are running PLEASE remember to hit the "two step toggle" key straight away. Until that toggle is used IS will send "22" and then "2," with each alternate press while both keymaps remain active.

Can anyone tell me how to setup a keymap that begins in a state of "off"?

If you click on Advanced, under the name of the Mapped Key and above the Steps, the bottom option lets you not load the mapped key initially.
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

With Cat we will need crowd control and if my alts only target what my tank targets it wont work. BTW Merc has disabled FTL and just uses focus because trying to focus on others with FTL is a pain in the ass. I am trying to get it figured out because it's not working with the new macros now.
My raiding setup uses ISBoxer and I use a combination of FTL , StickyTargeting, DPS on Focus, and Manual Assisting.
