    Default Using /focus etc. How do you set it up?

    Hey all.

    This may be a pretty n00b question indeed but im used to using /target and have the other toons attack the target of my mains target instead of /focus main.

    As it is today ive set up a pretty good FTL system (using /target) and it works ok.
    As im now starting to use more than 5 characters this system is hard to keep up i feel.

    Im used to pressing "F" to have all follow, target and then attack the mains target.
    I have a backup key that is only /target, so that they dont run in and then start attack.

    But now i suddenly became unsure of how to convert into into a /focus-based system instead.

    Do you all have to press many buttons before you can engage in combat?

    F.ex: do i need: (imagines keyboard-keys):

    Main character:
    F = does nothing
    G = does nothing
    H= does nothing

    Slaves:
    F= /focus mainsname
    G= /assist focus
    H= /follow focus

    ??

    So.. starting a attack of any kind i have do: Press G, then f.ex 1 for "insert spell dragged from spellbook on main and on slaves" i guess.

    But when i target a mob on my main (leftclicking it), then tell slaves to attack, wont they be assisting my target, not focus? Hmm.. maybe i can change the keybindings on my main to select focus target to be "F".

    Any insight on how any of you others are managing your keys regarding this would be most welcome.

    Btw, almost completed all wotlk heroics now

    Ty again! /sighning off. /dreamsaboutsetup (lol)

    Your best start is to search the forums for example focus macros. Don't bother with the built-in search function.

    Use the "site:dual-boxing.com <word1> <word2> <etc.>" syntax.

    I have my set up like so...

    I have a macro to make everyone focus my lead char.
    /focus atox
    /assist focus

    I have a seperate macro for following that char
    /follow focus
    /assist focus

    Then all my spells have this in it (for every char)
    /cast [target=focustarget] spell
    Frostmourne (Oceanic) - Bloodlust - Alliance - 10 Boxer

    On master
    /invite [toon 1]
    /invite [toon 2]
    ...

    On slaves
    /target party 1
    /focus target
    /targetlasttarget

    And bind it on the same button. Jamba auto-accepts party invites... good to go...

    I use the Z key to manually set a target for my slaves, if i want to switch tanking targets i can do it freely. Also, if i press the dps macro button and don't have a target that can be hit i want to select my focus'es target.

    My dps macro is something along the lines of

    /target [noexists,noharm] focustarget
    /castsequence reset=combat ..... <dps macro >
    /script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()

    This way i can put the dps on a target and just go with a toon and pull more mobs to the dps, switching targets when the first one is dead..
